How To Market 'Self Development' Workshops

Im helping a friend market her womens self development workshops. She has a new website. Searche volumes for 'womens self empowerment', 'womens self development' etc etc are pretty low and i dont think going down the SEO route is worth the effort.
Would appreciate any thoughts on how best to market these workshops (fb, reaching out to others in the industry etc etc)

    Get her Google my business page done (claim it and fill out, post now and again).

    Get her to rank for women empowerment.

    Then ask her what what her women empowerment workshops aim to accomplish, and rank for those.

    I.e, self-defense for women;
    How to deal with shovinistic bosses
    Learn how to stand up for yourself at work
    Learn to relax

    Get her to rank locally and, if she does them online, nationally too.

    She needs to rank for phrases that describe the pain she addresses or are closely related.

    Banks do not rank for the word money or checking account; they rank for reverse mortgages, wealth management, sba business loans, finance your business, business lines of credit.

    See what I mean?


    Then you can market on Facebook (ads and groups), Google ads, article marketing (not article directory marketing), youtube... They definitely have to have a youtube channel with short videos that show what they're about.

    What is women's self development?

    What is she helping women to develop? Mind? Body? Spirit? Tolerance?

    What is her bread and butter "course"? What are her qualifications?

    I know several successful women in the self improvement field, some in public speaking or presentation skills, some in fitness and self defense, some in tech...what are her workshops about? THAT will determine the marketing.

    Once you know the what, then you find the WHO, then you create the marketing.

    I think a good option would be to provide value in FB groups that are in her niche.

    I know this sounds boring and you heard it hundreds of times, but it works. Make sure that her FB profile is connected to her website (cover photo, bio, etc.).

    You should try different keywords to see if you can improve traffic.

    You should try social media marketing, start a channel on youtube offering advice or tips on women's self-development.

    In Facebook ads, you have a lot of options to do a really good campaign to get her website known by her target audience.

    You can also offer some of the workshops on a written form as an ebook, asking for a subscription in which you can later use to promote her website via email marketing.
