Could you tell us what is meant by "No Comment" after stating you do not know the person/persons leaving the review

  • Hi

I have 1 star review from Mustafa. I havent got a clue who is it. I have another window cleaning business where i have 3 x 1 star reviews just the star, no details. I used to have my rating at the bottom of adword ads, but i had to remove it because it looks bad with three 1 star reviews. I have few 5 star but all together with the 1 stars reviews i am only up to 3 star. All reviews on google my business.

One thing you can do, is reply to those 1 star reviews. Simply state that you were not aware of any unsatisfactory service and if they would please contact you a.s.a.p., you'd love to rectify it right away! You can also state that you are not aware of who they are due to no complaints filed with your staff... and so on.

Keep it friendly, never snarky. When people see a low star review, they wonder why. It's always best to reply right away. It shows you're dedicated to customer service, willing to fix any problems and that you're paying attention.

You should also reply to the high reviews, too. Show gratitude for the rating.

Do you ask for reviews? The only way to deal with these is to have good reviews. Which means happy customers. Do you have happy customers? If yes, you should be able to get good reviews.

    You know what, never mind.
My friend owns restaurant and he got a lot 1-star reviews with comments. He was unhappy and he was thinking what he does do next.
But it is time wasting. There will always be those who dislike your business without any reason.

  • Try to get more 5 star reviews from others, they will outweigh the negative, one star reviews. There's really not much else you can do on your end other than trying to get those people (who left the 1 star rating) to remove their review.

You can reply from your business profile to the user - "why he/she give you 1 star?

  • Better to contact that person and resolve the issue and ask them to delete that message.

  • Thanks for all your replies.

Now, I have few ideas how to deal with it

Ask your customers to leave reviews for your business. You need more 5-star ratings to compensate for the negative review or rating. For each bad review, you need 10-50 good reviews. This way the impact of poor review will be very limited.

It is quite upsetting for business owners when they get a bad rating/review on Google.

Many businesses have been destroyed by that.

Instead of trying to remove the bad reviews(although it is very hard) you should concentrate on getting more 5 star reviews to provide a balanced rating to your prospects.

Good and Bad reviews are a part and parcel of a business. Since you cannot control the bad reviews, at least try and get 5 star reviews and make it work.

There are also many businesses who are exploiting the Google Local Listing.

This video shows many Locksmith companies exploiting google reviews and local listings.

Also check your industry for these kind of malpractices. If it is a wide spread exploitation of bad reviews to certain businesses and Google Local Listing exploitation, you will get lucky and your bad reviews can be removed as well.

What you're looking for is reputation management. You should politely ask your delighted customers to review you. Gradually, as the positive review count increases, the adverse impact of the negative ones subsides.
