Is $1 a minute expensive for custom video creation?

I've been working on the concept of a Youtube coaching channel

In the process of researching video source options, I've boiled down 4 alternatives

Option 1
- Create my own videos and speak in front of a camera (non-starter cuz I'm extremely shy and might flub up my speech if I get nervous)

Option 2
- Create whiteboard animations with my own voice (this has been beat to death and the software to create these have tricky monthly plans)

Option 3
- Hire a video spokesperson to present my script (from Fiverr etc)

Option 4
- Hire a voiceover person and another person to create a dynamic slideshow from the narration - all based on the script I supply them (again, from outsourcing platforms)

My question: I've found several providers for Options 3 and 4, the cheapest I got was for Option 4 which is $1 per minute.

Is this expensive or just right? Should I find a cheaper alternative?

Sadly, all the 'text to video' software options out there flat out suck even with the supposeldy AI-driven voice synthesizers so I have to rely on HUMAN voices/video spokesperson

Thanks in advance for your feedback/suggestions

Sounds like a pretty good price to me. I figured it'd be higher than that.

Option 2 doesn't have to be a monthly plan. VideoMakerFx (if its still around) cost me just 47 dollars one time.

Is the $47 limited or stripped down in any way compared to monthly programs?

A $1 a minute is a little on the cheap side of the spectrum. Since your videos will be the backbone of your channel you may not want to go with the absolute cheapest option.

$1 per minute sounds extremely cheap to me.

I would seriously question what the quality of the end product would be. However, since it is so cheap you could test it for very little and find out.

Camtasia 2019, and Audacity (for Window Users) is all you need. Record the audio first, then piece together the presentation using screen capture, Broll from videoblocks.com, and annotations.

fiverr would be a good place to compare the rates. I find them rather competitive. $1 a minutes isn't bad.

$1/minute is pretty cheap, depending on what you are actually getting, especially if you are going through any of the online job sites (i.e. Fiverr, UpWork, etc.) because they take a percentage of each sale reducing the amount the freelancer gets even more. That being said, the longer the requested audio the lower the per minute rate is going to be. For instance, if I do a 6 minute audio for a YouTube video, I am going to charge around $20 ($3.3/word) but if I do a 3-hour audiobook I am going to charge around $150 ($0.83/word). On both of those, you are getting minimal editing and I am not matching up any kind of timing.

Fiverr is quite cheap and produces decent ROI from what I've read. It depends on other factors though.

I have to say that is a good price however although you say you are camera shy many people feel that way when they start making videos.

I spend a lot of time on Youtube and never ceases to amaze me how some of the worst videos get loads of views. What you must remember is you are probably your worst critic we all have to start somewhere.

With regards to video marketing software, I have been using Animator which is a one-time price of $57 no monthly and it is very user-friendly

Hope that helps and Good luck

It's really expensive. For camera videos, the cost may be justified with expensive equipments. But still $1 is too way expensive.
