Links to your site not permitted.

First link above ( 'your' site) led to a full page 'malware warning' from Google - second link you posted does not have a site attached to it.

Both are 'old' domains - 1999 and 2008 - why is it a problem now?

Unless you have trademarked the two words used - nothing you can do except focus on fixing your own site.

You don't need to worry about them. With proper branding throughout your marketing efforts the amount of traffic you'll lose to them will be negligible. Going of what Kay said, focus on fixing your site and getting off the malware warning list, otherwise everything else is a moot point.

Agreed. You just have to put in the hard work and effort for your site to overtake theirs. Also, your site might be different to theirs (Not opening the sites).

There's nothing you can do. I really don't think domain matters that much, anyways. Article content is more important; along with proper SEO. Maybe keep an eye on it, to make sure he's not copyrighting your content.

Otherwise, don't worry about it. Just focus on your website and providing good value. The malware thing happen to me. Got to get it removed in your hosting cpanel.

It won't change anything... as long as you have great content and links, you'll be fine.

I probably can register about a hundred domains similar to yours... doesn't mean I'll outrank you.

In case someone else has the same domain name as yours, there can be situations of conflict that may impact your business performance. There can be situations when your target audience may end up in your competitor's website causing your business loss of traffic. This is more likely the case when the other one with same domain name offers the same services as yours.

In such a case, you have two options:

    I. Since your domain is older than the new one, you can request the other owner to change their domain name as they are comparatively new in the market. This way, they can eliminate the conflict and help your business get the required traffic.

II. In other cases, you might purchase the domain from their owner and request your hosting provider to redirect visitors to the original website.

I wouldn't worry about it. If they have it first, then they aren't likely trying to sabotage your site.
