Did Google Discover add manually or is it algorithmic?

So, a few days ago, I logged into GWT and found that I have a new tab in my panel.
The tab lets me know how many visitors I'm receiving from 'Google Discover', previously known as 'Google Feed'. I realize what this is, but yet, the tab is only available in GWT for this single website of mine. None of my other websites have this tab or receive traffic from 'Google Discover'.
So, I'm wondering, how exactly did my website get added to this?
Did they manually add me or is it algorithmic?
The Google page doesn't seem to provide much information on how one actually becomes a part of this.

    Reading this: https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/google-discover your page is meeting the requirements that google has to have content included ( good job for this happy accident ) Out of a whole lot of sites that I have "control" over I believe 3 have the same tab and 2 of theme specifically are news portal type sites so those make sense.
