How to Encourage Sales for a Membership Site

Hi all!

I created a membership product for a law enforcement test site. Currently, the content is far, far better than any of the competitors, and it has ranked for many keywords. I've got like 9,000+ departments to tailor the product toward each of those.

I've had some success to date and sales are coming in quite nicely - and the site is only 5-6 months old. I don't use advertising and I've relied on exceptional SEO and content creation to bring the site to where it is today.

But I want to bring the site to the next level -- to hoover up more traffic and enhance conversions.

Can anyone come up with some ideas as to how I might bring the site to the next level. I'm already generating a 4-figure sum monthly from the site, but I know it can reach a 5-figure sum per month if the right strategy is implemented.

Curious to hear your ideas on the matter! Thanks!

What you really want to do is improve your conversions by improving your Click Through Rate (CTR) and that correlates with the type of advertising strategies you implement such as Google Ads and Google Search.

Seems like you already know your Google SEO well, so here is a good read about CTR etc.:

    Hi!

In my opinion is: If your site generate positive cash-flow on daily or weekly basis you should move on to paid advertising. Here is the reason why: do not rely only on SEO. With paid ads you can start generating traffic right away.

You could come with special offer packages to the members of your site offering Them special one-time opportunities with time expiration.

Focus on driving more traffic if you want more sales. Go PPC, social media route if you like. Paid traffic would be your best option.

If it's a law enforcement website, I'm not sure if this would work, but is there an option for you to create an affiliate/reseller program for your membership page? They typically work well because it doesn't cost you anything additional, and you have many more people than just you marketing/advertising your site.

Stop selling. Find a problem. your membership site will solve and put the link in front of the people having the problem. I find that system works the best.

Google Ads CTR is not the same as organic search CTR and you don't optimize them the same way. One has very little to do with the other.

True and that is why I said "Seems like you already know your Google SEO well, so here is a good read about CTR etc."

The point I'm making is maltesefalcon already stated s/he already knows and implemented generic SEO or as he calls it exceptional SEO, keywords and content, yet does not advertise and wants more traffic and enhance conversions.

Seems to me s/he only needs to learn more about paid traffic wherein the CTR is different compared to organic search CTR? Hence the link that explains the differences between search ads CTR and display ads CTR.

sir, I think you can hire a professional online SEO worker and you can promote your site on google ads. because if you want to get more traffic to your website then you need to rank up your website which is possible step by step. first, you should share your website URL many social bookmarking sites, answer posting sites, forum, blog comment, etc. so for this, you need to a professional SEO worker.

You have to build a content marketing funnel

Get attention from people looking to SOLVE a PROBLEM by giving them content that enables them to KNOW possible solutions

From these pages, gain their respect by showing them info that gets them to LIKE certain solutions

From there, get them to join your mailing list

Your list then picks up the slack and builds TRUST through USEFUL content and TESTIMONIALS / CASE STUDIES

If you need an example of an EXPERT way to do this, just look up Neil Patel or Brian Dean or some of the other big marketers out there

That is a dope result so far, congratulations mate!

A simple idea is to ramp up what is already working to get traffic. If you're creating content can you double the amount of content without sacrificing quality to get more eye balls to your site?

On the topic of conversions a great method I see that works well is taking advantage of scarcity and the fear of missing out with deadlines.

Let me go into more detail...

You could have a new exclusive bonus each month for current members and people who sign up by a specified date, if they miss the deadline they will not get the bonus even if they sign up a day late.

This will have a double effect, it will decrease churn rate because people will stay to keep getting the exclusive bonuses and more people will sign up before each deadline.

    Hope that helps.

Here is the right strategy for you.

If you sell, for example, an info product for $49, you can sell more products to these customers on the backend for more money.

ALL super affiliates earn BIG commissions this way:

$49 commission on the first product.

Upsell #1: potential income of another $100

Upsell #2: potential income of another $500

Upsell #3: potential income of another $1,000

So when some buy the $100, $500, and/or the $1,000 product, your income SOARS.

You aren't serious I guess because you started this thread on 26th January 2020 and have not participated?

    Hope you are okay?

Anyway, one of if not the best way to drive traffic and increase conversions on a membership site is to capitalize on the assets you already have and that is the members.

Simply give your members a cash incentive for referring paying members. That entails placing your products on at least three popular platforms > sell the product(s) > track the members referring I.D. > automatically enroll the new customer into your membership site, etc. etc,

Side note: Shame you do not participate in this thread. Otherwise, I would go into more about 'etc. etc.'

Create curiosity by showing snippets of what you offer inside. Something that helps people, but is just a small portion of what to find inside.
For example for my membership sites where I have information/guides, I create infographic similar type images and promote them on relevant forums/groups. It doesn't seem like spam, because the information genuinely helps people.

Have you tried a social media buzz. You can for example generate traffic via facebook and other social media platforms. To be candid, if you want more money, you need to invest money and work, wisely of cause.
