Judge my upcoming method..

This is what I'm about to try, tell me if you think it's a good idea:

I'm going to make a website with information about a subject that I learned from an ebook... it's going to have 9 pages to go over the 9 topics in the ebook and on each page, I'm going to push purchasing the ebook. I thought it would be a good idea to set up my website like this:

Try to get traffic to the squeeze page, put all my marketing efforts into the squeeze page... BUT

Make two folders domain.com/free and domain.com/subscribed -- both with the exact same information

When someone comes to the squeeze page, signs up and does the normal process, they go to /subscribed but I leave /free open to be spidered and block /subscribed with my robots.txt.

Would this be beneficial to drive more search engine traffic to my site? Even though they wouldn't hit my squeeze page, they'd still hit my site and see me pushing the ebook? Seems like there'd be a lot of SEO value in allowing the spiders to hit your content pages.

What do you think?
