Hello,
A straight forward question, what will be the best target audience in adwords, bing or fb ads to promote or sell digital marketing related products? Products maybe ebooks, video courses or any applications.

I think fb ads is the best for promoting your business- but bing is also good -- you can promote your business with google ads.

    so....all of the above?

No one can tell you which ads will work best for YOUR product...that's why you test ads to find what works.

Facebook ads seem to get the most success. But it all depends on how you market your product. You could have a lousy campaign on fb and no one will buy anything.

For paid FB ads, you can do interest targeting OR if you want to do it the CHEAP and SMART way, do this:

set up an online marketing page

promote the page via general targeting

get enough likes then PROFILE your members to run a LOOKALIKE AUDIENCE CAMPAIGN

Nobody can tell you exactly target audience, you will have to figure out byself and with help of google, because it depend on that particular product.

The best way to learn from few youtube video on how to find best target, apply and test it. If that works go ahead or cut..test test test test is only way..

Thank you all for helping. But my question is about what the interest and demographics we need to select for this. And for google ads what will be proper keywords?

    • I am not exactly clear about what exactly you plan to market despite the broad-based examples you had given.

But bordering on your broad-based examples, you can try to select interest groups in Facebook (if doing FB ads) like "working from home", "online business", etc. Demographics will be both genders but I would give a higher weightage to women than men. Age ranging from early 30s to late 40s.

It's very depends on what product you intended to promote

Each product will be match with a group a people

There is no specific answer for your question

But you can know more about your target audience if you go to groups, or forum that relate to your products

    Hope this help

It's all depends on your product, that what kind of product you want to sell after that you can decide which platform will be best for your product for sale. you just try it yourself and find out the best platform for your product. Otherwise, anyone cannot tell you which platform is suitable for you.

I would rather go for Facebook ads than Bing ads. It' obvious that Bing has smaller user audience than Facebook. Facebook allows you to advertise to people based on
their interests. You can include rich media (photos and video) in your ads to make them more appealing. I believe that Facebook has great potential for businesses which are highly active in social media.

All of those are good. I like FB because they don't shoot past my ad spend like adwords... you can get a voucher at voucherstore net if you are creating a new adwords account, and can get $100 in ads.

  • I believe you are referring to interest groups for those modes like FB, Bing, Adword, etc.

The interest groups for your digital marketing related products could be as per the following. However, if you could be a little more precise on your products coz digital marketing products can be pretty broad-based....

    1) online learning
    2) internet marketing
    3) digital marketing
    4) social media marketing
    5) online business
    6) working from home
    7) self improvement
    8) sales & marketing
    9) internet marketing
    10) How to earn money online

I am sure my list is not exhaustive but it gives one a good start. Good luck

All depends on your niche. Who is your target market? Don't just sell a product because you can. You might develop a digital marketing product and find out that nobody wants it.

Have you done the math in your business? What will you offer next? How will you include high ticket items into the mix? What will your product costs be? What will be your cost per lead and sale? Etc???

I'd recommend Bing because I am using it. Thinking of answering your question I was reminded of some details about Bing I came across a while back:

Research has revealed that the typical user on Bing is generally over the age of 35, most commonly between the ages of 55 and 64, and most are parents. One-third of the Bing Ads audience has a household income of $100,000 or more, and 22% more was spent online with Bing than on average search engines.

    Your mileage may vary...

Make sure you only target one interest at a time with FB ads... ITS A MUST or you don`t know which interests are profitable and which are not.

Hi DebMedia, You seem to have a few years in the business so I'm a bit surprised you would ask such a broad (shotgun like) approach to this ongoing part of your business.

"A straight forward question, what will be the best target audience in adwords, bing or fb ads to promote or sell digital marketing related products? Products maybe ebooks, video courses or any applications."
The simple answer, not that there really is one, is that when you do your "Marketing" ie; Defining your market for each product category" BEFORE you do your promotion will give you your basic answer.
One or more of these platforms will be ok for ea particular targeted product (as digital products are.
This will be a continual process as the market demographics change as the communication platforms evolve. In each of the platforms, they all have a broad range of, Age, Location (in the world), access to supplies and/customers in their region, (remember, the speed of the web and these platforms varies from country to country). Also each region can have a greater or lesser target audience for your different products, Some areas have more tech minded people ( they will use a different platform than say an area who is heavily skewed towards transport).
This will change as you and your products evolve, it gets easier over time.
    Your second post;
But my question is about what the interest and demographics we need to select for this. And for google ads what will be proper keywords?
This completely depends on the product, the range and areas for the products you mentioned above basically can cover every aspect of the web.
You need to do more study on the "targeted" audiences of each platform.
One person on this forum I would ask or read up on is, IM Mozie, I have a great deal of respect for him (never met him and not going to make any money from this) he has a wide experience in this area and may be able to help you further.
So good luck and keep studying..
