Hi Everyone.

Just wondering if there are any new digital marketing trends in 2020. I recently came across a post on LinkedIn in which someone mentioned that
"content writing and the old SEO techniques will no longer work in 2020 (no suggestions were specified)."

So what's new in the market?
If you guys could pitch some of your ideas, that would be amazing.

    Marketing is always evolving. Things are definitely moving from desktop marketing (ecommerce) to mobile marketing. Most people want to put their head in the sand and not take advantage of this trend. Fact is by 2025 M-commerce will be considerably larger than traditional eCommerce.

    MOST information marketing people are still planning their businesses around email and what worked in 2010 BUT those that adopted mobile ready sales pages, app and easy to optin lead gen forms are going to win the race. I've had great success with SMS but it is tricky and not something you can simply spam.

    If you want these changes to happen or not....they are going to happen. 75% of all internet traffic is now from a mobile device.

    The trick now is to learn how to take advantage of this trend....

      I agree on absolutely. Always new techniques and strategies come every year so We must keep learning and try new methods. It does not mean that You must spend a lot of money.

      While you do testing it is not even worth doing that even if you are already a seasoned Internet Marketer.. But be prepared to continue learning...

      Definitely voice search. I have been spending some time exploring content for SEO work. Reading up on psychology really helps to understand buyer behavior. In fact I went through an undergrad textbook which came well recommended to understand the basics. (Psychological Science)

      Interestingly this helps in any type of marketing, in case you want to fork out at a later date.

      Also high quality back links - can't beat that!

    Surely, Content marketing will work in 2020.

    But SEO old techniques may not work like generating more backlinks from low-quality sites because nowadays if we generate few backlinks from the high domain authority site, that's enough to get a higher ranking.

    Marketing is marketing, and will always continue to be marketing.

    Referral marketing still works. Joint venture marketing still works. Starting your own affiliate program still works. Viral reports and ebook marketing still works. Promotion on forums and blogs still work. PPC and high traffic website advertising still works.

    What exactly about "internet marketing" still doesn't work??

    Be active on social media
    Backlink building

    All above are still really important in the digital marketing world in my opinion.

    Also having patience being able to keep putting in the work even if you don't see any results after a few months or even a year.
