For those that have used this service i have a question. I sold a site on flippa and created the escrow thing and the buyer approved it. However his partner who is fronting the cash, would like me to cancel the previous agreement and create a new one in his email address/account.

Will this create any problems? Its a large sum of money and i am just paranoid that somehow i can get burned. As long as the transaction i set up is agreed upon and they deposit the money, I should be ok no matter what email address is used correct?

  • You haven't started any of the escrow steps yet have you?

    If not, just canceling the the original escrow and creating a new one with a different email shouldn't affect anything. If you have any questions just contact the escrow staff. They are very helpful.

    I've bought and sold a few sites and domains with escrow (between $4,000 - $30,000) and highly recommend it. The fees may seem high but it's completely worth it!

    • This is my first time using escrow.com and its for 16.5K. I created all 4 phases with a brief description and payment to be released at each phase and sent it to the buyers email. They approved it. That is all that has happened so far. ( And buyer is paying all fees so thats good )

      Im not really sure what the "steps" are. But the only thing done so far is for both parties to agree to the transaction.
