Idea to Hire a Sales Force off Craigslist

Hearing about all of the people hurting for money and out of work gives me an idea.

I'm thinking about hiring some people from craigslist from different states to sale my link building service to local businesses that have websites and then pay them a commission.

I figure I could just paypal them the commission after they get someone to buy the service. They could either search for sites in their area and then stop in to talk to them or call them directly to tell them that their site would rank better if it had more links.

I think people with sites that aren't webmasters are my best demographic and it's a risk free way to make sales.

What do you guys think?

I think its a good idea and maybe expand your biz faster that way. Almost like outsourcing but instead giving the Jobs back to your local community. (USA or wherever your at)

FYI, there are tons of ads on Craigslist to sell web services on a commission basis. Look at a variety of Craigslist cities under "Sales" jobs. Get a feel for what they offer & what % they are paying.

After reviewing the Craigslist ads, which often include local web services providers, you need a KILLER answer to this question: "Why should I go to work for you, instead of all the other people running ads?"

Hint: if others can give the same answer as you came up with ... your answer won't get you any salespeople.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I've got an angle.

They charge $25 for job listings. I always wondered how craigslist makes their money. I guess I just found out.
