How do you get leads and clients for a Life Coach?

Hello everyone,

Hope you are well. If I may pick your brain? What are your lead generation strategies for a life coach? What are the effective ways to promote a life coaching program?

Any input you may provide will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
GB

Edit: The target audience is:
- business owners
- men/women 40+
- Naturopaths/chiropractors/physiotherapists
- Private schools
These people are key because she is a Life Coach. In her practice she provides Education Consulting Services (She is an experienced and certified teacher, consultant, and principal, She works with students and their parents/caregivers to help support the enhancement of the learning experience.... helps student needs empowers families/students to attain academic well-being supports that are reasonable and necessary.

She will also help advocate and connect you with relevant community supports. She can help students and families understand information from assessments, explain available accommodations and resources, and offer support to students returning to school after injury/illness or a prolonged absence.

She can support the transition planning process and she offers a variety of learning strategy sessions to help students learn how to learn.) She also will do business coaching - go into a work place and figure out what they can do to be more productive, collaborate better and so on. Then she can provide personal or group coaching as well.

Can you narrow it down, and tell us what a Life Coach does? The most effective way to promote any program is through clarity. So be clear to us, and maybe we can then offer some useful advice, fair enough?

I consider that life coaching can be promoted by offering free advices. And you have plenty of platforms to do that: social media, YouTube, Quora, blog, etc.

Although I am not anything like a "Life Coach", I do know that the best practices for promoting any product or service is directly applicable to attracting clients for your particular service.

Put out massive content about what you are about through articles, videos, podcasts, social media, etc. Consider also offline promotions such as articles in mass media magazines and even newspapers.

Get with chambers of commerce in your local area and offer presentations to promote seminars. These in particular are always looking for relevant topics, and may be an especially good match for you.

facebook is definitively THE social plateform for life coachs, it`s all about KLT (Know, like and trust) so create relations with your public, talk to them, ask questions, give advices...

Another thing is to have a program, don`t sell the damn life coaching / hour, it's not a very good way but do some program in a delimited time frame ex:
    Indestructible personality in 90 days
Full control of your wealth with my 30 days workshop.

P.S. This truly is what a business-in-a-box should be. Fully monetized. Created by a real, successful marketer.

For a life coach you want high quality leads. You don't want lazy people that talk to you once. You want people that will continue to come back.

So for this you definitely don't want to do any sort of "bargain" deals or discounts. As you will just get what they call "discount hunters".

In my opinion a facebook ad with the lead generation objective would work very well. For the ad show some sort of client testimonial to show other how your service has helped others.

You could also do some sort of quiz on the facebook form to pre qualify people. Pretty much asking what they need help with, etc.

I personally dont know much about life coaches so you would need to come up with something to grab peoples attention that isn't devaluing the service itself.

For starters, as a life coach you would essentially be providing a service, so you have to market it as a service. I don't suggest offering your services for free.

The simple steps would be to target people looking for life advice or a life coach, provide something for free for them to download, capture their email address, and provide helpful info via email.

If you have case studies provide them on your site. State and prove your credentials and specify why people should choose you vs your competitors.

No matter what, make sure you build a solid email list of customers and prospects. If a future client is already on your list, they'll know you, like you and trust you and as a result, they'll be way easier to sell.

One little-known approach which can get HUGE results . . .

. . . grow a FaceBook Group of your ideal clients. Get lots of engagement and choose members carefully.

I know of one coach who claimed $130k from doing that, in 3 months, starting from nothing. And other marketers are claiming 7 figures a year from some FB Groups.

  • Do a search online and see what other life coaches are doing to promote their websites online. Emulate the really successful ones and try to dissect their websites page by page. Understand why they have each page in their sales funnel and do some split testing of your own.

Better yet buy two or three online courses, offered by the top three life coaches online. See their similarities and differences. See if by taking the best advice from all three life coaches and see if you can formulate a better life coaching program on your own, to market & sell to your target market.
