Hi

I've been scammed out of some money by an individual trading on here. I emailed Admin on here yesterday to report but has not replied.

Can someone or a mod let me know what to do? Is there a investigation policy on here with regards to fraud, or are there no rules because the forum can still make money out of this scum?

I've got the emails from the individual and Paypal Receipt as evidence and put this in the mail to admin. The individual is not responding to any communications now and is still free to trade on here as it stands.

Thanks in advance.

What exactly do you mean by scammed?

If you are simply dissatisfied with a product, then that is a different story.

Also, if you want help from WF Admin you will need to open a support ticket. As far as I know, their e-mail system doesn't receive e-mails unless you open a ticket.

Good luck, I hope you can get things figured out.

Depends on the item. Some things paypal won't refund on np matter what you do.

If it's PayPal then open up a PayPal dispute and explain your situation. PayPal will then wait for the other party to respond.

If PayPal deems you were ripped off then they can chargeback the money
    from the Seller's side.

Always be careful who you deal with. Check out how long they've been a member here, the quality of their posts, (not just the number) and any feedback regarding their WSO's. If they have any feedback posted in their WSO thread's from customers, PM those people and ask questions.

From the communication in the thread this is in reference to, it looks like you might need to be a little more patient with his situation. That is if the circumstances he had to deal with are true.

David, I think you're jumping to conclusions. Not a good suggestion.

sharger, I think your best bet is to take it up with PayPal. Go through the steps needed to get your money back if he's not answering your emails, and send PayPal your communication trail. That's where it matters

It's digital delivery .... not likely to get a refund from Paypal. All he can really do is what he has done. Report it to admin and post in the thread. If admin finds it to be a valid complaint, eventually, the person will most likely be banned, but it won't be instant, just on your say so. It is somewhere in the forum rules here that disputes are between you and the other person and are not to be played out in the forum, so I wouldn't use this thread as a means of getting this resolved.

Thanks guys for all the replies.

Just to let you know I've been extremely patient with this guy. Deadlines have come and gone, many different excuses for non delivery to a promise of a refund. I have all these emails at my disposal as evidence.

What I'm upset about most isn't the money but the fact that the services offered and examples look really good. Feedback seemed ok, albiet that there was some previous issues which the individual explained away in the thread which were quite reasonable at face value. I can understand that business can be up and down but hey if you can't deliver don't take peoples money in the first place, don't make repeated promises that you subsequently break and certainly don't offer a refund (which was going to take place 3-4 days after it was offered because he had no funds in his paypal account, alarm bells rung then) and then ignore all comms whether email or PM even though I knew they were online at the time.

Sorry rant over, but thanks for listening. I will open up a ticket as you suggest.

Is there anyway I can report him to the local Police? I've got the Whois info and he has a website set up which I'm guessing is traceable through the host?

      thanks again

      Steve

This statement should really get the mods or Allen Says in the mood to be lightning quick.
