I'm a freelance writer and have been feeling the crunch lately. What types of content are in high demand right now? I'm looking to sell PLR/Exclusive rights articles. Which type of content are you warriors still spending on?

Absolutely. A bulk of our clients who have seen massive success in 2020 all came from the health niche, especially weight loss/fitness.

Reason is simple: with the lockdown, folks, including me have put on a ton of pounds! Sad reality

I can't speak for all Warriors, but the overall marketplace is looking for content related to Covid-19. For example, look at article and content that was recently posted:

    Code:
    https://preparedforsuccess.org/covid19/

If you can put out that type of quality content, you could be killing right now.

If you're only selling PLR, that might be a stretch

I am not in the MMO niche and have always recommended against it just because of the ridiculous stuff that gets promoted.

However.... Has there ever been a better time to write for "Make Money from Home!" types of content?

I would go after a niche that will last. Right now people might be interested in home business, but in about a month when the government takes their hands off our throats and gives us permission to be free again then people will go back to work. After a few paychecks they will stop thinking about MMO or Home businesses.

I would go after a niche like prepping as that is something I think a lot more people will think about in the future

        Yep, that's what I think.

People are scrambling right now, but they will not want to get caught with their pants down the next time stupidity and fear overrule intelligence. And I have no doubt it's closer than most want to think.

I question this... I think for many it will be the case... after a few paychecks they will be on their way. I would suggest that there will be a set of people that this idea may dwell a bit deeper. This set of people would be those with kids.

I know more than a few people that couldn't work because they had kids at home. These people in particular will be scouring the web looking for a side hustle. Which leads me to a possible niche to look at.

My son goes to one of the better school districts in my State. Granted we ( the State of WV ) are ranked 47th overall in the nation in education. I have found that having to work with my son with his school work, his education, Im not going to say sucks, but is <thinking of a word> "Scattered" at best.

IF I had the time I would be home schooling my son. To the point I am SERIOUSLY looking at restructuring my professional life to kind of make this happen. Me personally not being a big fan of College level education - I am pretty progressive in the idea that K - 12 are real damn important.

I think there is going to be huge growth in home based education. HUGE growth. and with that growth which is a niche in itself, there is then the need for the stay at home parent to create income.

      My 2 Cents...

100% agree with this one. As a parent, this is absolutely a "take my money now" category for me (for someone else's product/services.) Going to be very interesting to see what tech companies do in this space as well ... feels like a Unicorn opportunity that's been accelerated by 5 years by the pandemic...

You can go down the obvious route of checking out Google trends and see whats trending on Twitter etc.. Just go through the evergreen markets like health, wealth, relationships and then niche down to something that is...
    1. Not too competitive (KD < 20)
    2. Actually gets searched for on Google

For example, I just opened up my keyword tool looked at "make money" as a seed keyword. Filtered down to high search volume and keyword difficulty less than 15 and searches higher than a thousand. Tons of results were returned with many good ideas for a content niche..

One that stood out for me is "how to make money with photography". You can have that one for free

Yes that's a good point - thinking a few months ahead is always the best way to work.
Try and look for what will be popular in a few months time.

This gives you time to prepare. You will have time to create products of be an affiliate of products and you have time to get your website or page to the top of the search engines.

One September I achieved top rankings on Youtube and on the search engines for products I had ready to sell in January the next year.

Really? With every major news outlet (despite what you think of them individually, they are all deemed by Google to be "authority" sites)., as well as every medical website offering their readers extensive coverage of the pandemic, do you really think an article written by a blogger is going to attract more viewers than the "authority" sites?

Now, that aside there well may be a sub-niche that you can capitalise on, however you stand more chance of ranking for "insurance", "credit cards" or "mortgages" than you have of ranking for "covid19", "coronavirus" or "pandemic".

Unless you can score an article written by someone with genuine expertise (epidemiology, virology, etc.), then why would anyone even look at an article written by a novice?

OP, you'll probably make more money selling PLR email swipes or specialized scripts like infographics swipes (with stats)

Why settle for cents when you can make a premium by specializing?

Anyway, if you really want to figure out hot content categories, use tools like buzzsumo or free alternatives.

They use social media profiling to detect content trends.

The best part? You base your decisions on NUMBERS and DATA not 'gut feel'

It is kind of like buying clothes. Do you buy something cheap and
trendy that will be out of fashion next season, or do you choose to
buy a quality item that is made of silk or wool that is timeless and
that will last for several years. I prefer evergreen content that will
be relevant for as long as possible. Topics such as health, beauty,
gardening, parenting, etc. that people will always be seeking out.

That's a bad analogy. You can always take massive advantage of seasonal events. Like football games; Olympics, world cups etc. It obviously depends on the size of the audience per events. Think cashing out on seasonal trends as just a side gig and others thing that you do as a more longer term objective.

If one has time to develop new
content each season then by all
means go for it. I do not have

Just like I prefer silk dresses

        retired person my objective is
        recurring passive income, not

  • Check out Google trends. Hot niches will always remain the hot niches.

    1. Health and fitness
    2. Dating and relationships
    3. Make money

Those niches have always been hot and always will be, regardless of the times.

Create content in those evergreen niches and you'll be set for life, if you have set up the proper online sales funnels.

Obviously you'll have to niche down into those industries so you can find your piece of the pie.

Information about boosting your immune system and being healthier are what people want to know about right now. Also they are at home and don't know what will happen with their jobs.

If you could show them how they can make money from home they will buy that. Now you don't want to sell crap just to make a dollar, but try to create content that actually helps the person.

Content niche marketing technique has made it easier for their audiences to filter and make a target audience so that they can focus more on the audience and the group and deliver them according to their searches. It also helps to make a strong and concrete impression of the brand's image into the audience's mind. The audience would never feel your absence as you can make your audience feel your online presence that would make a stronger connection with your target audience.

I believe the health and wellness niche should suffice. If you can focus on writing around this niche, perhaps create a blog in that niche, you can make waves in your freelance writing business. Give it a try and you can be steps away from making money as a freelance writer.

Prior to COVID-19, Google was ranking sites and articles endorsed by relative Medical Authorities higher than sites without endorsement.

Since covid is all the rage, what about starting up a COVID CASKET company?

    Yeah, dead bodies everywhere, right?

Plus... imagine a COVID CASKET MLM company, just get 2 distributors who get 2 distributors who get 2 and so on.

    Sure thing right?

    Just trying to help.

  • The SaaS affiliate space is doing extremely well at the moment as more business and digital marketers are going online.

Think about a website or blog dedicated to online tools, software, digital services on how to do business online.

We are seeing a lot of demand for our SaaS services since the start of the pandemic.

I'm actually working on a project to help Small Businesses increase their profits without increasing ad spend. The focus on a particular business such as photography sounds great.

Considering the present global conditions, Content regarding COVID-19 is in great demand. Apart from that, content representing online earning techniques or remote working strategies can also be a great field to write on.

With lots of people laid off and at home, you can write about other skills people can learn while at home like what courses they can take. Also the DIY niche is popular right now with the epidemic. Also a lot of people are at home and overweight so weight loss is hot too.

As far as I have seen, the hot topics these days are health & fitness, websites and online courses. Tap into specific category/audience for each. For example, online courses for Maths, a specific programming language, etc.

  • I'd recommed that you use your expertise setting up a blog or website dedicated to Tech/Software/SaaS reviews and product comparisons.

The main reason is that more users are setting up online businesses and therefore buying Domains, Webhosting, Website templates, Software. These programs pay high commissions and recurrent for life.
