The good source for getting customers is google ads and facebok ads, but as you said it's not worth now (not sure why).

There are other traffic sources, but maybe tell about your business first, so we could help you more accurately?

What have you tried so far?

Reddit is a huge platform and if you know how to properly use it, you could receive tons of traffic/customers. I advise you to research about reddit.

Also, you can try pinterest traffic (depends on your business).

This would be the time to contact past customers, not to get new ones.

Tell them how you're working (so that they are safe) and offer them discounts and other reasons to come.

But, no matter what you do, the need went down a lot... People staying home means they're not using cars, which means cars don't need repairs / maintenance like they used to.

From what I understand from my friends in this industry this is the opposite of what's actually going on. Many repair shops in my area have a waiting list for repair work. Part of this is getting free money and having the cash to actually get their car worked on. And the other aspect is actually having the TIME ( because we are all home ).

I would be running facebook market place posts for anything that is a set price - Brakes starting at $79 an axel or a tire special. The reason you want a set price is because many groups on Facebook Market place require a price to be used.

I would also be listing posts on Craigslist.

The issue that I am guessing you are having with Facebook and Google ads is you have probably never done them before, and you are simply not doing them correctly.

Right now - go with easy Post on Facebook Market Place and you will get leads.

Good to know. I live in StrangeLandia. I took OP's original comments to mean they're in my kind of area (was doing ads that work and now they do not).

I am seeing ads not working as well right now.. but actual posts in Facebook market place are doing exceptionally well. Attention comes right down to platform... and facebook feed ads do not seem to be the optimal platform.

Your best bet would be to reach out to influencers for a free content marketing campaign

This does require volume so you would probably need a VA to pull it off

If you have a tight budget, you can get a VA off fiverr (time based) or cognoplus (quota-based)

Absolutely even in quarantine people will need to repair their vehicles, even during a zombie apocalypse, car repair is among the ''essential'' things.

If Google search ads aren't working for you then you're probably doing it wrong, focus on urgent automotive repair and you'll get desperate customers paying for your solution.

If use effective SEO, you will get more visitors to your website.

SEO tips for 2020 . . . content is the #1 factor, so make sure the content on your website is top quality. Create a blog so you can generate new high-quality content regularly.

For SEO, a web-page needs at least 2,400 words, to include enough expert phrases to work well for SEO. Find relevant keywords (phrases) which have at least 500 monthly search volume, and low SEO difficulty (KWFinder gives the most accurate figures for that) and write blog posts on those keywords, including the keyword in the title (and URL), and closely related keywords as sub-titles.

The most important concept for off-page SEO is to never build back-links from sites with Domain Authority less than 20, and from pages with content not relevant to yours.

You can do SEO actions for free, or outsource the work. It takes time (weeks at least) but can get good results, and for regular work will get increasingly good results over time, if you do it well.

    Chris

  • Have you tried YouTube ads?

You create a channel. Record some videos of how to repair vehicles you specialize in, then promote those videos with ads.

It may seem like you are giving your trade secrets away, but most people in your area will not want to get their hands dirty and will end up coming to you if you target your videos to your area.

Your thread title is saying that you are related to automotive industry .... So if you have good ideas then you can write or can instruct any professional writer to write contents on related keywords like how to repair car in budget or other related topics which can get people attentions and you will get more query and results.

I used to own a car lot in the south, because of that I have friends who own Auto Repair Shops. Seven different shops, ALL in PRIME locations.

So prime, they DID NOT have to advertise; well that plus the fact that they do AWESOME work.

They are ALL in different locations and business has all but dried up.

In most parts of the USA, (I'm assuming you're speaking about the US) people are simply staying off the roads. Consequently, PPC ads are going to be a crapshoot.

Even if you opt to engage in GEO - Targeted social media ads and Influencer Marketing, again, at this pandemic moment in time, they are all a crapshoot for the Auto Repair Business, IMHO.

If you are looking for local automotive agencies, then local SEO suits best. To get local seo ranking, presence and traffic, you must have a Google MyBusiness page.

The second option is Quora posts. it has huge questions related to the "automotive repair industry".

Hope these things may help you.

    best, Lawrence.

I will suggest start affiliate on the Automotive niche. For traffic first, you need to know which keywords are you ranking and then you can promote related products on that page.

In the areas I see all around the US, competition in the automotive repair industry (as in many other service type businesses) is getting weeded out.

A small local sign company (not so small anymore) is capitalizing big time on this nationwide by selling eye-catching custom A-frame, large window signs, conspicuous banner signs, and spinners saying "We Are Open".

Quite often this alone is driving long lines just from local traffic.

I have a large format print / vinyl signage "department" within my business. On a normal every day before the epidemic, I had 1 1/2 people working this aspect of my business. I currently have 5 people in there, and really may need to hire 1 or 2 more. This has gone nutzo.

I have been blessed with a terrific relationship with my primary supplier. I have been getting pretty much everything I order from them in like 2 days. I made a better than huge order last Friday and they literally rented a truck and drove 12 hours and had it to me that Saturday. They pretty much cemented a customer for life ( they already had that LOL )

This has always been a service I provided for my clients, just not one that has been used much. Just some basic phone calls and a "flyer" in my monthly billing statements was all it took to boom this 5x basically overnight. It has been crazy.
