Who normally pays for White Labeling an App?

I recently had a new Video App created. I have begun reaching out to a few Super Affiliates I know looking for some JV partners and one of them said he is interested in White Labeling it under his own brand. I am certainly open to that since I know he is a mover and shaker.

I talked to my developer and he told me it will cost about $700 to clone the app and rebrand it.

My question is since I have never done a deal like this before is who normally pays for having the White Label done, myself or my new JV Partner requesting it?

whoever purchases will pay the 700 bucks, then from there you will need to figure pricing for individual downloads and a way of tracking so you can get paid

You must pay it if you want to get more benefits. You can sell it $97/license, you just only need 8-10 customers to break even and the rest are your ways to the next product launch.

Local businesses that need an integrated CRM would pay for white label apps

Thank you all for your input. This is not something that a whole bunch of people is going to want to rebrand this. The app in itself is already "Agency ready". Meaning a Marketer could take it and sell it as a service to their own clients as their own app and there is nothing that would lead them back to me. It just so happens right now this particular JV partner is building out a whole suite of his own apps and he sees mine as something that will fit nicely into it. Don't want to be a name-dropper as I am sure if I were to tell you who it is everyone here would know who I am talking about. This could be a very big deal and I just want to make sure I am going into this with eyes open.

Of course you are the one to foot the bill because when the benefits start trickling, they will line your pocket.
