Powerful And Easy Way To Transform PLR Content Into High Quality Unique Content Websites

In this post I will show you how I use PLR content to build high quality content sites. It is simple but powerful strategy which can make you a lot of money. I sold more than hundred websites on flippa marketplace. Building and selling websites is my main source of income.

Let's get started...

If you are working online for some time then you have a lot of PLR content in your possession.

If you are newbie this will be a little bit harder to do it. Maybe not harder, but more costly for sure. You will have to buy PLR content. But, you can get a lot of content for free. All you have to do is go to google and search for "your niche+PLR". You will find a lot of free PLR products that way. We will need at least one PLR ebook per niche. If you can get more than one ebook for your website... even better. We are looking for PLR ebooks and not articles.

These ebooks should be in word format. When you find your PLR product you can download it and put it on the side for now.
You have PLR product and you are ready to start building your website. I will not bore you, so let's get started.

So what we will build here? We will build simple website you can sell immediately or whenever you need money. And this kind of websites sell all the time. Why? Because people looking and searching for them. I build them to cover all of my monthly expenses from mortgage payments to website hosting payments. It is great felling if you have few sites you can sell at anytime. If you will follow my advices I will give you in this post you can build at least one of these websites daily.

First things first...

Register domain name and setup hosting account.

First things you will need are domain name and hosting account. It is important to select good domain name. If you don't have idea for domain name you can always use this combination yourniche+secrets.com. It works great for me all the time. It is not important which hosting you use.

This step shouldn't take you more than 1 hour. It took me no more than 20 minutes.

Install wordpress

If you want to build your site really quick you should consider to build it with wordpress. Wordpress is great, easy to use tool. I use it for almost all of my sites today. There are plugins for wordpress for almost anything. You can create website with a lot of high tech features added. Even if you never used wordpress you can learn it in a few hours. So, it is also suitable for beginners.

If you already registered domain name and setup hosting account then it is time to install wordpress. If your hosting account use cpanel then you can install wordpress in a few minutes.

When wordpress is installed go and look for good wordpress theme. Just search google for free wordpress themes. Don't overcomplicate this step. It is very easy to spend few hours searching around and look for website theme. There is thousands if not hundred of thousand wordpress themes available. Just look for simple clean looking template and you are done.

When you find theme and you are satisfied with it, install it on your website. I will not go into details on how to install wordpress or theme for wordpress. There is a lot of free resources where you can learn it all. Just search google for "how to install wordpress" or "how to install wordpress theme".

If you want you can add new header image with your logo. Your site will look more professional.

Add Wordpress plugins

It is good to add the following plugins:

- This plugin gives you tons of possibilities to make your blog search engines friendly.

- This plugin generates a XML sitemap of your blog each time you write a new post and lets Google and other search engine know of new content.

- This plugin automatically checks all the comments and trackbacks people leave to your blog to see if any of them is spam. It is totally automatic.

allows you easily to backup your WordPress database.

Prepare content for your website.

Now we are at the point where we will use our PLR content.
We will need at least 15 - 20 unique articles. The more articles you have on your website, more money you will get for it. Don't worry you will not have to write like mad or pay somebody to write these articles for you. You will get them from your PLR content.

But, how we will get unique articles from PLR?

We will use PLR in a different way than other people do. Most of the people use PLR content the same way. They download it and use it just like everybody else. What that mean? They put together sales letter or they use one which comes with their PLR package and then sell that same ebook without any changes at all.

We will use PLR ebook and convert it into unique PLR articles. It is easy, so don't worry about it. From almost every PLR ebook you can get 10-20 articles. If your ebook is to short, search for another one.

Get Keywords

Get 10-20 keywords for your articles. If you want to build 19 pages website you will need 19 keywords. You can get your keyword with google free tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Don't worry about to low or to big search count for those keywords. Look for niche keywords that perfectly fit into your website niche and people searching for at least 1000 times monthly.

The most important thing you have to know.

As I already mentioned, people use PLR content as it comes. They don't do any changes. They are lazy. Because of that a lot of that content is ...if you look with search engines eyes... UNIQUE. Your PLR ebook maybe around for few years, but if you are lucky with your niche, there will be all UNIQUE content in your PLR ebook. So search engines and Copyscape.com will not detect your content as duplicate content.

You will be surprised how easy is to get unique content for your niche that way. The only thing that you should do is check everything with copyscape. Don't check whole ebook. Just check article you will put on your website.

Prepare Articles

We will convert our ebook into 10-20 keyword reach and seo ready articles. These articles have to be around 350 words long. To get articles from your PLR ebook, copy one part of the ebook (only one article) and paste it into note pad. Insert your keyword two to there times into article. Once on the beginning, once in the middle and once in last paragraph. Now add title and save it. Check your article with copyscape and save it. Do this for all of your articles.

Create website

You are ready to post your articles on your website. Just insert and publish all of your articles and your website is ready.

If you are finished with articles you can check if all of your pages and links work well. If not fix the errors.

To make site looking nice you can add few images. You can get them at stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site for free.

That is all. Your website is ready. You can sell it right now or you can wait week or so to get site listed with google and then put it on flippa.com auction.

When you built three of four of these websites the whole process shouldn't take you more than two to three hours.

If your site is good you can sell it at least for $100-$200. It is still not problem to sell unique good looking sites.

  • I love this process, I have used it and created tons of blogs...
    I can add:
    1) you can use PLR and translate them into another language using google translator
    2) Add videos to some of your post
    3) Don't post every articles at once. Just make one post and wait for google to find your site. When this happens, then schedule your articles in order to make just 1-2 max per day. Google loves this!

    • Yes, you are right. We can use PLR in a many different ways. Of course with a little bit of seo and with some tools we can make this process even more powerful.

  • Awesome post. How do you promote your sites on Flippa? What listing upgrades do you buy? How much do you spend per listing?

    • I use only simple sales letter on Flippa. I never buy listing upgrades. Listing fee is $19. I also pay 5% success fee if auction is successful. You could split success with buyer, but I always pay full success fee.

    • I usually start auction for this kind of website with $100. Most of the site sell from $100-$150 which is not bat for site I can put together in a few hours. I sell all of my websites with free one year hosting. Buyer can also move site to their hosting account immediately if they want. I also transfer domain name immediately after they pay. I use namecheap.com for all of my domain names. All they have to do is open free name cheap account and so I push domain name there.

      Here are two sample sites built in the way I described in my post. I sold both of them on flippa.

    Neat post. Have just two quick questions. The first is does it really need to be in word press? Found it hard to upload with the current host I have. Easier for me to use FrontPage or Dreamweaver.

    The second Question: Does it matter if it is hoseted on a site that allows multiple websites like Just Host or does it need to have it's own single hosting?

    Sorry if these seem basic as I am just starting to really learn this stuff.

    • You can do it without wordpress using any html editor and you can use any web host you want.

  • I am new but little confused about PLR stuff, once you buy that, does the content of that purchase become yours and only yours or can you and 1000 other people have it? Basically the question is, if you spend 10 bucks for 5 plr articles, is it unique content and only you will get it?
  • I like getting PLR packages that have sales pages with plenty of bullet points to create other products.

    The bullet points on the sales page are answered in the ebook. Find those answers and use the chapter as a small report for a giveaway.

    If the product is about getting traffic and one of the points says "3 Hidden Traffic Sources You Didn't Know About" then that is what you title your report.

    Look for sales pages that have plenty of bullets and all of those can become Hot Reports.

      one of the stock templates.

      Do you find xsp sites sell as well as wordpress based sites? The buyer would of course
      need xsp to make any changes, etc....

  • You can use articlechecker.com as a free substitute to copyscape, also dupefree is a nice free tool to check uniqueness and compare articles.
  • Contrary to creating blogs with PLR content.. I have been successful in creating Web2.0 graphics and revamping the saleletter to get good results.
    Incase of the tradional niche like dor training and acne..

    Content is always the same - what was being 5 years back.
    So any PLR product can be trasnformed into a whole new product coupled with a busy launch.

  • If you are just copying parts of the ebook and using them as articles and not changing them (other than adding a feww keywords) it is true that they will probably pass copyscape and related dupe checkers, but down the road, someone else can do the same thing with the same PLR ebook and then you could be in for a lawsuit for claiming "unique" when in fact it is not unique and you are not the only one that has therights to that material.

    Imagine if you bought a "unique" site with all rights and later see a product or article with your same material.

    Other than that part, I like your overall plan. Just make sure that you rewrite the parts of the ebook enough to make them really unique.

    • I didn't talk about articles. I'm doing it with ebooks. There is a lot of ebooks in word available almost for free. A lot of these ebooks were never used to create articles from them. Why? Because people are lazy.

      From the law site you are always protected because these ebooks comes with PLR rights. When you check these articles with copyscape... they are unique and there is no part of that article anywhere else online. If somebody use that same article (I doubt that) your website will still be main source for that article and google will know that you are the first one.

  • Do you usually easily find a PLR ebook to convert do you eventually find one after looking at many?

    I started trying this. So far every PLR ebook that I looked at was already converted to website content, at least random sentences from the beginning of the ebooks were. I tried a variety of different subjects too.

    Has anyone else run into this?

    I suppose I could buy newer PLR, but that would run the same risk that the content has already been made into website content.

    • There is thousand of PLR ebooks available online. If you don't find something useful in your first try don't give up. Try again. When I do research for PLR material I do it for few hours. I download everything and after that I sort it. Usually I find material for two to three websites.

  • I think this is a great way to use PLR (as long as the license states you can break the ebooks up into articles and publish them, of course).

    I don't think it is a good idea to sell these sites as "unique" because this typically implies that the buyer gets exclusive rights to the articles.

    In this case, even though no one might have used them online yet, there is a good probability that someone will do the same thing you are doing (especially after reading this post). How is your buyer going to react when he sees his "unique" articles on someone else site?

    He's going to come in here, make an angry post about how his articles were stolen and then file a DMCA complaint against the poor guy that was just making use of his PLR!

    Now, I don't know how you are advertising your sites, so maybe you are letting the buyer know that the articles are from PLR sources, but I think there are a lot of newbies here that might be under the impression that they don't have to disclose that and can lead the buyer to believe that they are getting exclusive articles.

    I know I would be pretty pissed it I bought a website that was sold as "unique" only to find that it was really PLR that no one else had used yet.

    • I don't see anything wrong with this strategy. You get PLR ebook with resell rights and you can do whatever you want with it. If somebody sell an ebook in word or open office format with resell rights I'm sure that he will not complain if you put his work on your website. After all you have full PLR rights.

      Another thing here is that if you will be the first one who will use that ebook for your website, your website will be unique and when somebody else try it again, his articles will not pass copyscape test. When somebody buy your website his only interest will be to get traffic from search engines. Because search engines see your site as "unique", they send traffic to it. Sometimes a lot of traffic. New owner have to find out how to monetize this traffic. They can do it with affiliate programs, adsense or your own products.

      This strategy is simple and it works only if you don't over-complicate it and if you take ACTION.

  • There is nothing wrong with taking a PLR ebook and breaking it down to articles (or whatever) (or unless against the PLR rights). That part there is no issue.

    The issue at hand is you are deceiving the buyers of the website by telling them that the material is unique. It is not unique. Lying to them is fraudulent. Other people have rights to that material, though it is true that it may not show up right away by Copyscape.

    You could go by a real book at the bookstore and run it through Copyscape and it would probably pass. but that doesn't make it right or unique.

    If you sold the sites by telling the buyers that the content is currently unique to the search engines, however they will not be the only ones with exclusive rights to the material, that would be one thing, but you are outright deceiving them.

    Just because you have not been caught yet or may never get caught, doesn't mean that it is right and may actually cause other people issues that either buy your site or the PLR material from other sources.

    I have nothing against you and I love the overall plan, but I am really just trying to protect you and all the other newbie Warriors who think deceiving people out of their money is ok and legal.

    Sites with unique content sell for a lot more that PLR material. By misleading a buyer to believe it is unique and exclusive therefore charging them more money, is fraudulent.

    In closing I would like to add that:
    Copyscape is NOT the law. It is merely a tool to help find copied material posted to the web.

      Use limited availability PLR so that, although it's not unique, you're not going to find it on thousands of websites.

  • Plr is great for feeder or Adsense sites. It always nice to get a feeder blog up to 10 articles fast. I do some Web 2.0 with them buts it also nice for free Blog hosts and the occasional .ino or .biz self hosted feeder

      I set the bidding time to 7 days. $100 starting price. After 3 days I have 0 bids. Is this normal?

  • So I am wondering, is the idea to use some PLR to build a site to advertise a Clickbank or other product to monetize it? It would seem to me that Adsense would have been a better choice, but I don't know. This is something that I would have never thought of myself.

    I've been doing this for a few months now and it works out great!

    I like to change the graphics so they are original and I can get more money that way. You could hire a graphics freelancer or just learn photoshop yourself (which is what I did).

    I'm not an expert photoshop guy, but you don't need to know everything about photoshop, just enough to be good at making nice looking logos and headers.

    I always pay the success fee too.

      I sell them as startups sites, but usually I wait some time and them sell them. If site is good looking you can get sell it from $100-$150 sometimes even more.

    • I didn't say that this is the only way to create content. It is just one of the ways how you can use PLR content.
  • Most content is just rehashed info put into another person's own words. If you can say it in a way that will help the reader understand the topic better than the next guy, then you've got something unique and perhaps high quality.

    I have a friend who is taking Cisco classes and I explain things he covers in class all the time which helps him understand it better, but it's nothing new, just a clearer way of explaining it.
  • I just sold a couple of sites on flippa that were PLR. The only thing I changed was the graphics. They both sold for $97.

    Flipping sites is so easy, it's crazy, but I'm going to try following your post for my next flip.
  • I think the key is to just get the PLR off your hard drive and into cyber space. This is a great way to use some of those dusty ebooks. I have had success flipping WP sites with my own content as well as reformed content. I am just clear about the source of content with buyers. New graphics really make a lot of difference and learning how to manipulate headers in GIMP is not hard.
