a short question --

should a press release contain a link to "google my business" as well as a link to the main business website ... or just to the main business website ?

    Depend on press release distribution sites ....... Few press release sites not allow link in PR contents because they create complete profile of company or individual and when press release live then his profile details are with PR.


    So with these types of site you can use Google My Business link because more than 75% site will have not any problem with link to Google.


    But if press release sites allow one or two link in PR contents then you should use your website or landing page URL because press release prime work is drive traffics and if traffics are coming to your landing page then you can get best result.

    I presumed that linking your website to the press release is a necessity otherwise it will beat the logic of why you prepared the press release in the first place.

      that's true, but i was wondering if also linking it to the google my business page would help google my business rankings ???

    Press Releases should always link to your home page as linking to other pages seem more like a marketing message. I would always suggest a press release to promote your primary page thus your home page.
