1000 Google Organic Views With 3% Click Through to Affiliate Links

I have ranked dozens of articles on google's first page using Medium to promote Clickbank products. All these are medium-competitive keywords.

As time passes, most keywords improve their ranking and now I have 1000 visitors daily on average.

I always put a call to action with an affiliate link after the first paragraph and at the end of the article. That's means 2 links in each article.

The issue is that I noticed the click-through rate to my Clickbank affiliate link is pretty low, about 3%. That's mean about 30 hops a day. I direct them to the vendor sales page without any opt-in.

1) Is that anything wrong with the ratio?
2) What can I do to improve the click-through rate? My keywords are quite targeted based on how to...., types of article.
3) Or I need to write more articles, so if I have 5000 views a day, based on 3%, I will have 150 hops a day?

Thanks for your advice.

Medium is a spam fest and It just takes ONE report of you doing an affiliate review to get your account banned. Why not build out your own blog where the content belongs to you and can't get banned. Trust me on this, CB type of reviews get blocked/banned/deleted on there every single day

    Build yourself an email list.

You have ads or contextual links?

    Test different ad placements.

How many of the 3% actually buy?

If you dont build an email list you leave huge amounts of money on the table trust me ,not building an email list its the biggest mistake you can do .Also as a member recomends to you build your own blog and its your property ,you dont want that all your hard work to ruin in one day when that platform decide to block you

Spartan14 has made a great point.

An email list will give you "two bites at the cherry".

People rarely purchase the first time they see something online - on average someone sees something 7 times before they purchase.

So your odds of selling an affiliate product to a first time visitor are very low.

Your success will triple if you have an autoresponder - I would recommend Aweber.

Create a lead magnet - something such as a free report that will encourage them to join your list.

Then once they are on your list - they will you can send them follow up messages.

This will enable you to promote yourself and your product - they will have confidence that they are dealing with a "real" person and you will start to see your sales take off.

You have great traffic, which is often the hardest part to achieve, the missing part of the

    jigsaw is an email capture.

    I hope you become successful!

You should never put your clickbank affiliate links on Medium, your account will get banned quickly, instead send the medium traffic to a bridge page which offers like a free ebook, a quiz etc and collect email and redirect to affiliate offer.

The best thing you can do is to build your own blog where you can continue engaging the audience. It will help you attract more traffic and who knows? it may lead to more traffic.

You should leverage this and get your own list.

Build a list and you will see more and more customers.
