Hiding Personal Information From Developer

Hello, I am finally ready to have a few sites built and have hired somebody to develop them as I just simply don't have time. My questions are can I hide my personal information, address, tax information, so on and so forth from them on my amazon associates, clickbank, and other affiliate accounts? Has anybody gone down this road before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It happens. You may have mis-read the question but
you still provided valuable and useful information.

People setting up your websites don't really need to have
access to your affiliate accounts unless you are unable to
do the most basic things like getting your affiliate links and
IDs. If that is the case, take a couple of days to learn how
to do all of that so that you can provide that information to
your developers and protect your private details.

Okay thanks. I have all of that information (IDs) already. The developer just requested login credentials for everything and I didn't feel that was necessary unless I could lock down my personal information. I just sent him an email with this solution.

That is great. I am sure that everything will work itself out.
I have 20 years experience developing websites with HTML
and WordPress and I have setup hundreds of sites over the
years. I sometimes hire others to help me so that I can get
more projects completed. Trust me, nobody needs the logins
to your Amazon Associates or ClickBank. For Amazon they
need your access key, secret access key, affiliate ID and API
keys for plugins you have purchased. It's probably faster for
them to get the info themselves since it is confusing but I'd
never give anyone access, only to hosting and/or WordPress.
If anyone asks you for those logins or persists, find someone
else. And remember to always change your passwords once
        the work is done.

I also feel it is not necessary. Unless of course you don't care losing a few thousands of dollars

You have not provided enough information for others to give you a proper answer. There are many factors that may require you give this information to a developer. The best way to handle this is to purchase your domain, hosting account, and security before hiring a developer.

This will allow you to create temporary credentials for your developer, and change those credentials once the job is done.

In order to answer these questions I will need to know what kind of site their creating, what suites their using to create it, and a host of other things. Again, there could be a host of legitimate reasons why your developer may be asking for this information. It all boils down to whether you trust your developer or not.

Do it yourself if you don't want anyone seeing your personal info.
