What's the new normal like in your region?

Stores are gradually reopening, but everything's different now - social distancing measures in place, for-here and dining in for restaurants still discouraged, and pretty much everyone is still reeling from the massive lockdowns. Bars and pubs might still be closed for the foreseeable future.

Most restaurants in my region still don't allow eat-in dining. A fast food chain is even investing in so-called "cloud kitchens", beefing up delivery, take-away, and drive-thru services. Groceries are also ramping up delivery services.

What's the state in your place? How are stores adapting to the new changes?

City Mayors have been overridden to open up and downgrade. Will continue mass testing. Hot spots limited downgrades.

70% Isopropyl Alcohol still a rare commodity here

However drinking alcohol became accessible since 2 month ban. I only heard one crazy story during that time. Guys making their own batches decided one day to put paint thinner in it...guess it was the alcohol talking...R.I.P. for them.

Masks Mandatory. Even at work, not sure how that will play out. I think some fabrics are not healthy personally and not everyone can afford top quality.

Still have to self hair cut and no gyms so lifting furniture alot.

Shopping on even and odd quarantine pass numbers for now.

Transportation no sitting close and half capacity of vehicle.

Older population still on full curfew unfortunately.

2 week extension on this quarantine. I live in a combined Commercial office and Residences so little bit nervous on that. Heard AirCon helps the spread.

Just social distance and wearing masks when going out. And as a building owner,
I have started disinfecting my facilities. I have also a plan to change toilets in order to make sure that my place is safe and clean. Since I cannot go out, I am lucky to browse that best toilets on this site https://bestflushingtoilets.org/.

    - Social distancing is encouraged
    - Places are slowly opening up, by reservation or appointment only
    - Masks are needed
    - Some places are still closed

I refuse to accept any notion of a "new normal" I just look at things now as "current abnormal" it is just a matter of time before people just go back to normal on their own.

well once you figure out what the old normal was ..i dont thnk there has been a normal sence 2016 ..

i would adjust it to people fashion a personal normal ..and get pretty upset if there is an attempt to reimpose an old

6 months ago saving rate was like 2 percent .. now people are saving 33 % of their income and paying off credit card debt people who hardly ever cooked at home are cooking every meal at home ..and i would say there are a lot of people making extra money off the books ..

watch the new normal for many people.. bepositive behavior for them.. but terrible for the old model of economic growth ..

I am glad we are in Florida. I read about all the restrictions other states imposed on their residents and it felt like they were temporarily put in jail. In FL it's a different story. For example, we were not required to wear masks. Our parks remained open. Even though restaurants were closed, most stores remained open (with some restrictions in place). We were free to go in and out of state.

Living Dangerously but LIVING...I got to give it to you there.

People are still dying from Selfies so go figure.

I went out today and could tell people were noticing my gym bod transformed from Avengers to a few push ups here and there... and that was all the motivation I needed. Start the Rocky theme music!

At first everyone was super strict and serious, but now it seems we got bored with that. This week masks are no longer mandatory, except in stores.

Restaurants and bars are open, or opening. Employees wear masks everywhere, but general population is not necessarily required to do so. Spaces are limited to 25% - 50%. State parks are also limiting public access to eliminate overcrowding. Businesses which depend on tourism are asking the locals for support.

By the end of the year, I'm betting most people will not be wearing masks anymore and will have forgotten about social distancing, unless there are major spikes.

We are in Scotland, and about a week behind England,in terms of lifting restrictions, it's definitely a strange time, roads are lot quieter, streets are deserted, shops remain shut for, already, another couple of weeks..bars and restaurants will face incredible difficulties,to be able to reopen, as I always think people go to bars and restaurants to socialise, and to keep two metres apart will be difficult. Supermarkets, still queueing and social distancing.. I wonder if we'll ever get back to 'normal'

Camping and RV travel nationwide is reaching record levels. Some areas are experiencing traffic congestion. RV dealerships are surging in sales and many are even having challenges keeping up with demand.

the millions or tens of millions of people moving around the country ,or even out of cities into less densly populated areas of states ..honestly i have no idea how this will effect thing long term .. and it might be the thing that has the biggest effect ..itis just unsafe to live in big densly populated cities.. forget potlitics right now ..

it all about paying high taxes and high cost of living and getting nothing for it ..there will not be a new normal until well after major cities find the people paying the most taxes escaped or fled ..

    In my area?

Normal except most are wearing masks. And of course restaurants, theaters, sporting events, gyms, and huge gatherings are not happening.

And now I have to wear a mask when having sex......I assume.

I haven't watched any news for months so I don't know what's going on really.

I am aware on this situation but can't live in fear that the media puts out there.

Although I do know that all restaurants here in Toronto only do take out. You can't dine in.

Basically just remember to wear masks and wash hands when going out. Nothing else really changes, our government did an excellent job of handling the pandemic situation.
