Paid traffic is an investment. Nothing is guaranteed but you have the ability to influence an outcome. If you already have a funnel that works. Then in order to produce a profitable campaign; you either need to pay less in cost-per-clicks or you have to increase your conversions. For newbies, having a profitable offer to promote and knowing EPC of the product can help you know the the CPC of the ad/clicks must be to make profits.

So, what tool are you using?

    Facebook? Google? Bingads?
Did you ever make a high ticket sale using paid traffic method?

FB clicks can be had for dirt cheap if you know how to create look alike audiences and use a retargeting campaign

yes paid traffic is a good way to scale a business. However I guess most newbies are making a big mistake and promote low ticket products with paid traffic.

the only way to be successful with it is to promote a good funnel leading to high ticket sales of $1000 - $2000 , otherwise there is a high chance of losing money.

It is true of you promote the products of $400-$1000 You have chance to make high commissions but doing it via cold traffic is a mistake. You need an endorsement from someone who has been nurturing their subscribers. I believe products less than $50 can be sold via cold traffic but anything substantially more requires you to create and build trust.

Facebook, yes, but there are a lot of other social media platforms with advertising options. Twitter and Instagram are the most obvious, but Tumblr, Reddit and now TikTok can be help. I've also found YouTube to be a relatively inexpensive option with good results.

Takes work, patience and a fairly decent budget to advertise effectively online. I'm still learning...

Paid traffic is a service. I wouldn't consider it an investment. Once your money runs out the service stops. Look into free traffic options also.

I agree all types of traffic is good, free traffic requires more work on yourself. also look into auto traffic systems they work around the clock and they are usually cheap but also slow going.

Finding a good converting funnel takes time.

I remember when buying solo ads were inexpensive and very targeted, and was easy to get even sales and most of the times getting your investment back.

These days solo are not the same.

There are really not an endorsement as they used to be, now it's a business on their own and your funnels needs to be really sharped if you want to recover some of the cost of the solo if you have luck.

But having a high opt in page with a good funnel on the back could help you build your list fast an sometimes with a minimal lost of the cost of the solo, that it's easy acceptable if you have a good opt in rate.

The key point to take into account is to find good solo ad vendors or preferably finding list owners that have build their list thru selling there own offers.

Melvin, i agree with you on finding a good solo vendors. The sad reality is that selling solo clicks has itself turn into quick business. A reputed business vendor is a must as his/her reputation on the line, so they don't do fraud games. Imagine this, you can get clicks for pennies for push notifications. So some vendors are sending this push notification, clicks from facebook groups where multiple vendors click for each other as a helping hand etc. But email traffic in reality is a very matured traffic in the sense that these are people who have problems and needs that have not been met, and these are people who have opted in with the hope that they can fulfill their dreams and desires someday. so a highly converting offer and funnel can really give you good returns on dollars spend.
Every clicks from solo email is a persoperson saying , i really do have a problem.and hoping you've got a solution for me.

Lately I've been buying solos on UDIMI, but got different results.

I got up to 53% opt in rate to my squeeze and had get 25% also. Up to 8 sales from one solo to none on others.

But I started to do things differently, I created individual lists for each solo vendor so I can see opt in rates, open rates and click thru rates; and from the ones I got good opt in rates with sales the open rates are good to moderate, but doesn't get close to those that had their own products on sale, those bring me more sales and the open and click thru rates are very high.

I recently got a solo vendor which was giving me a very low opt in rate and he confess hat he was using clickbanking clicks, which of course is not what I paid for.

Solos has become a risky business these days.

Facebook ads are less expensive than Google Ads, they are way better for beginners as compared to Google ads to start off in SEM successfully.

Paid ad is a skill. You need to have a system not a throwing a mud-against-the wall approach and hoping it will stick.

You don't just want a lots of traffic but a specific audience that will respond to what you are selling. Think all the traffic as coffee grounds on a filter paper and down comes a smooth coffee-brew. That smooth coffee-brew is our best quality traffic.

I was buying few solos from UDIMI as well; sometimes the optin rate I got was 20 %, usually I get around 30-35%; and not a sale on 1000 clicks so when I confronted the seller about low optin, he said something about the funnels or offer etc and making excuses, so he just have a refund. But with udimi, the sellers get weary when the buyer have high refund rates and avoid doing business with you.
If you give them negative rating , they propose to refund your money. The ratings are dubious and manipulated...

Yes, I had that issue before, received some refunds and started to be rejected by some sellers.

Not all the sellers provides good traffic, with the surge of clickbanking some clicks and the results from them are dubious.

I still like the idea that these are people who want to make money online, so having them in your list is still good. But most of these people are on multiple e-mail list ; so they end up unsubscribing or not open emails and sooner or later emails get filtered as spam [ maybe because of new algorithms]. If you can't break even or make a profit, i think they should be avoided and just keep your set of clean solo sellers and buy only from them going forward..

Medon, quit sugar-coating stuff. If it was that easy everyone would be millionaire in the town.

It's like saying, " if you can drive a car, driving nascars is easy".

Not saying you can't do it. It's just the skill set between the two are totally different

The question though is where your traffic is coming from and if it is even real traffic you're getting. When you buy website traffic, it would generally be best to buy targeted traffic. Otherwise, what's the point? You would only be wasting money. I've tried several sources, including webtrafficgeeks, fiver, traffic masters, and so on. Some of them were good but most were just horrible.

You've got all the bad traffic sources.
Good sources of traffic are facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Bing, Google, LinkedIn and Native Ads.

      For example, you are promoting
aweber; using Twitter as an example , I can target Twitter handle @warriorforum.
Now that's very targeted traffic. If you have better pricing on aweber you can target people who follow @getresponse or vice/versa. That's laser targeted
traffic that would most likely buy our product.

The more you focus on one quality traffic source the higher chances of success. Focusing on too many traffic sources without mastering one can lead to more frustrations and worse being sceptical about paid traffic altogether.

It's the system, process and structures that are important. You cannot just have one ad and if it doesn't work, you say, " it doesn't work or walk away from it". Most importantly trying to find out why it didn't work is very crucial to furthering your learning and becoming more skilled.

Yes retargeting, is very effective. Whether it is facebook, Google or any other ad network. Say you got 1000 visitors via solo ads and only 500 opted in. The rest 500 just didn't get to see the offer. So, you can retarget the 500 to go and check out your offer. It's crucial to understand that 500 who came to your website didn't come by accident. There is a reason why they came. Although they didn't opt in, the offer might appeal to them. So retargeting them to go check out the offer would be very sound. Also retargeting all the visitors who didn't buy would be pretty sound. But this is hard if you are promoting a product as an affiliate, as you don't know the people who bought the product. But if you are smart enough you could always market those people with something different via Facebook. A person who bought a affiliate marketing course would very likely buy a paid traffic course because one of the challenges as an affiliate marketer is doing paid traffic and on and on it goes....

LinkedIn is mostly geared towards professionals. So; it depends what you are going to sell them. Anything related business, investment, finance, technology would more likely sell . Unlike facebook where you have practically everyone on it, LinkedIn is a different crowd.
