Is there any value in web sites

I have 4 web sites with a reasonable amount of original (Copyscape checked) content and generate a very small amount of AdSense income between all 4 ( less than $100 AUD per year)

Is there any value to these sites and if so where do I advertise them for sale

I am selling because at 73 years old I have lost interest in the project

Possibily worth about 20 dollars each if lucky

You can list them for sale at Sedo or Afternic.
Those are a good place to start.

    Good luck!

If you are doing any business you should have your own website.

Have you looked into Empire Flippers https://empireflippers.com/ or Flippa https://www.flippa.com/
Both are places to sell web sites.
Since the sites make some money you should be able to find a buyer.

I'm assuming you are talking about selling the whole enchilada and not just the domain name. Contact https://www.warriorforum.com/members/davehermansen.html. He's a contributor here that buys and sells online businesses. You can also do a search for 'I want to sell my website.' Lots of ads. And don't forget ebay as an option.

All is not lost . You still have a long time to live. I have plenty of neighbours who are doing 95+ so I would advise that you reinvest in the sites. Who knows, they may start generating profits.

Just my $0.02 ... the above suggestions seem very solid, and I can vouch for Flippa as a useful marketplace for this kind of thing. Good volume of buyers both big and small, and in my experience, transaction process is fairly easy / smooth (I used Escrow.com for larger transaction to ensure safety & that both parties were getting what they needed)

Flippa.com is a great site to list websites for sale. You might have luck trying to sell them on there, just make sure to showcase the potential that each site has.

If the websites make $100 per year, you could get $300 for them. However, it largely depends on the website age, quality and other factors.

Definitely list them on Flippa if you totally lost interest. Otherwise, you could revitalize them, and try to sell them as great starter websites. Redesigned properly, the right buyer could pay $1000 per website.

I've bought and sold dozens of websites.

  • Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think the question was where can he sell his websites as much as he would like to know how to generate consistent income with a project he has spent so long developing for residual income. If that is the underlying question then you should optimize the websites with content, generate some backlinks, create social profiles, a Squidoo page and youtube channel get more traffic to the website and then sell them for 50k in a year.

OK, you're wrong. From the opening post: "Is there any value to these sites and if so where do I advertise them for sale".

Did you just wake up from a seven-year nap?

But that did make our day it can get redundant sometimes here.

I do agree with you. Maintaining a profitable website is a hand full of tasks. I can't think of maintaining a website at your age let alone four websites!

You can sell your websites and buy a new one and then later sell them again. Like a real estate business. There are a couple of websites that will help you in this matter.

Flippaflippa.com is one of them. Feinternational.com and Ecwid.com may also help in your cause.
But I may suggest that you keep those websites. And hire some people to run them.

Oh, wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. As everyone here already said, you can sell your site to a website flipper that buy and sell sites. I came across auction sites before where buyers will actually bid for your site if it is good enough. You might want to try your luck there? Just type website auction on Google and you should be good to go.

You might get a good amount if your domain name is coveted enough.

I used siteprice.org to see what my web sites were worth and according to their valuation tool the 4 websites are value at around $3000 USD. I would be happy with half that so I have listed on Flippa and on eBay Australia. Time will tell if I sell them
