If you had 5 you could afford to lose....

What business would you venture into?

I have fiddled around with an online business for years. I have made money here and there but never enough to be able to quit my job.

I let my old adsense sites die out because I had absolutely no time to work on them (working a 9 to 5 20 hours a day sometimes) and now I find it much more difficult to even get accepted into Adsense.

I never tried CPA because I never really had the cash on hand to afford to advertise even though Inworked so much.

NowI have a pretty good job, most people would be content but I have never really liked the 9 to 5 life. Waking up doing the same thing ever day is tiresome and kind of depressing.

So, I have money that I can afford to lose. If you were me, what business would you start?

You can start working on something you are interested in and have a vast collection of knowledge about. Make a blog out of it, do guest posting to manage your time and build credibility.

Are you looking to spend that "excess" money building/starting your own thing? If not, have you considered buying an already-profitable business from one of those marketplaces?

It does't have to be something I built. I'm moreso looking to get myself recurring income. I've looked at some of the sites for sale on Flippa but I'm not familiar with buying established websites.

Got it. I think it depends on your risk tolerance and size of investment you'd like to make. Personally, I'm intrigued by physical products and drop shipping and the like, but starting out anew, a "dip your toe" strategy might fit the risk profile better ... For many people that would mean something with fewer fixed costs/better margin, which lends itself to things like info products, review sites, Newsletters, etc. Creating one of these on your own is a time investment much more than a money one, which is great in that it's not going to bankrupt you and you can learn what you're good at (and enjoy doing) ... On the other hand, if you feel like you want to start off in the middle of the pool and go from there, there are opportunities on marketplaces like Flippa. Just requires some patience and thorough vetting (and would suggest you be clear to people you engage there about wanting 'hand holding' / guidance as part of the deal should you do one)

        Recurring....Solid Plan.

Investing in websites should automatically include Improving them. Many ways to accomplish. SEO, adding products/services/recurring, outsourcing, new design etc.

After a couple months of increased revenue/traffic you could have the option to Flip again for profit.

The real question is what do YOU like doing? What is it you're good at? Take it from there.
