Where to find affiliate marketers for my online course

Hi everyone, I recently finished creating an online course within the yoga niche. It's for yoga teachers, and I'm now looking for affiliates -- who are ideally yoga teachers and affiliate marketers. I have experience myself selling other peoples courses as an affiliate, but I'm now unsure how to approach this from the other side. I'm hosting the affiliate programme myself via the teachable platform who handle payouts. Would you also recommend using a marketplace too such as Share a Sale or seek out people personally? I'm offering quite a high percentage of 40% for the right people with a 60 day cookie duration. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Congrats on your new Funnel!

Well lot's of variables to consider. Is it purely digital? Video? Membership? Recurring? Is there an upsell?

With Digital goods like eBooks 40% would not be that appealing to affiliates. They have thousands to choose from much higher.

Join fitness groups, launch groups, listbuilder groups, remember you do not have competitors only potential joint venture partners.

Every fitness pro with a subscriber list is a potential affiliate if you approach them the right way. Show them the value you would provide to their list...have a dedicated affiliate section somewhere with Graphics and Banners to help them help you. Email Sequences etc.

Also put an affiliate invite at the back of your book or somewhere in your funnel for people who like what you shared and want to make an additional income stream.

Let's say someone selling yoga mats and have a list of buyers...that is someone you should also contact.

OK high 5 on your endeavor. listbuild listbuild listbuild. If you already had a list in yoga niche you would be making money already.

Since your online course is digital, you can list it with marketplace like clickbank or jvzoo.
Clickbank cost around $50 to list but you will get some affiliate who will be interested in promoting your course for you.
JVzoo listing is free and you will also get affiliate to promote your course..
But 40% commission will not be attractive to affiliates. I will suggest you give between 50-65% on the front end product.
If you don't have upsell, look for a good affiliate membership site or related course to use as upsell, in which case you keep all the commission made .
    All the best

I would suggest promoting it on various forums mostly related to your niche. That should help the product get exposure and you can even get few sales without affiliates.

^love this suggestion from Profit Traveler. You've chosen a niche that has tons of tentacles across a variety of media and products ... makes the task of creative list-building very doable. There are many popular-but-not-too-popular Instagram fitness accounts who do some combination of (a) sell products, (b) maintain lists, (c) profess an openness to JVs .... would suggest exploring that arena as well

I recommend Clickbank for a more general outreach. A really good way out finding affiliates would be Instagram and Tiktok influencers - just reach out to them and genuinely try to pitch your product!

Clickbank is a great idea for executing your idea. You should also simultaneously look for influencers on different platforms like Instagram, and YouTube to publicize your product.

First make sure the product converts, before you approach any affiliates. If you can't get EPC of the product; any potential affiliate would not promote unless they are a rookie and want to give it a go.

Provide all affiliate tools to promote. Banner, ppc ad, email swipes etc. If I want to promote, I am looking for all the tools to get myself into the firing line.

Yes 75% commission should be provided. If the affiliate is taking all the risk for traffic and sales. The rest of the cash you generate is pure profit and you spent zero money on advertising...

Search for jv launch groups on Facebook. Note the various launches and the jv pages. Study how it's done and do the same yourself.

I will suggest you to connect with health bloggers on Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media platforms. Send them a private message about your affiliate program. I am sure if you do this in the right way you will get publishers for your online course.

    Good Luck...

If you are going to try and recruit good affiliates to promote your offer. You need to fully test your offer and have all aspects dialed in and be able to show that it's a high converting offer and have the stats to back it up?

I'm what is considered a super affiliate. I have what I've always termed opportunity costs. During any given day/week I can only promote a certain number of offers. So I'm obviously going to promote those that have proven to produce the greatest ROI ... will provide me with the best opportunity to make the most amount of money.

So if an advertiser can't show me that it is worth testing (worth risking my opportunity cost) then I'm typically going to pass unless they are going to pay me on a CPM basis to test the offer. Too many new advertisers want their affiliates to be ginny pigs and test their offers for them to see if they will convert well or not.

    Anyway, something to think about.

  • Hi ! Congrats on the launch of your E-Yoga course. I agree with the rest that the usual market place will be ClickBank, JV Zoo, Amazon. However, you need to up your commission a little to attract affiliates. If you are not ready to do so, perhaps you can consider marketing it it yourself using various online and offline channels.

Online channels could mean advertising it and perhaps even give a free sampler trial via social media like FB or Instagram and draw them to eventually buy your e-Yoga via bringing them to your landing page, squeeze page . In this case, you save on the affiliate fee but it also means that you have to pay for advertising fee.... If I were you, I'll up te commission in an affiliate website.

Alternatively, collaborate with some community clubs or sports club that is a neutral entity and share what you have with them and put it up on their FB account or Telegram account and draw the crowd from there..... This is likely to be free since you are offering these clubs value.... But it all depends on how you negotiate with the clubs....

Hope this helps...and all the best !

As a course creator and affiliate marketer I would do this:

    1. List on Clickbank
    2. Build your own audience (or leverage your exiting following) to sell your course
    3. If you don't have or don't want to build an audience consider advertising your course by native ads
    4. Refine your sales page (Steps 2/3 plus split testing will help to do that)
    5. Once your sales page is at the point that it's making reasonable conversions start actively looking for affiliates on Clickbank using your conversion rate as the reason affiliates should promote you

If you list on Clickbank and just hope affiliates will pick up your course and promote it, it's unlikely to happen. You'll get some people promoting as soon as you list in the marketplace, but these aren't serious guys.

    Cheers!

These are the platforms that you can use. Clickbank, Maxbounty, Peerfly, offervalut
I don't think jvzoo and warriorplus are good fit for yoga offer.

    Clare,

If you've sold as an affiliate, then you know affiliates like products that convert. The big ones typically use stats to choose their products. That means... you need good stats.

I would suggest that you test PPC ads (Google or Facebook) on a small scale. If you can get an ad campaign to convert well, you can go to any affiliate in your niche (or a related niche) and show them your (profitable) data.

You need to appeal to their greed.

Note: Targeting yoga TEACHERS greatly limits your market. Why not widen that to include students, as well?

If you can widen your target market, your affiliates probably do not HAVE to be specifically in the yoga niche. They just need to be in the health and/or fitness niche. (Of course, that's just my GUESS. Doing some testing will reveal the FACTS.)

    So, that's affiliate marketing.

    But... do you need affiliates?

    Maybe, maybe not.

=> Do you have a YouTube channel? That could be a great option. And, you would get to keep 100% of your profits, instead of 60%. (Note: A lot of affiliates are going to want 50% minimum, and perhaps even 70%.)

=> Do you have a blog? These days, it seems like EVERY blogger has a course. Why not you?

=> Do you have a Pinterest account? The audience is mostly women (and they tend to have a good income).

=> Do you do Instagram? Can you product attractive pictures to post (along with tips or inspiration-inducing quotes)?

    You have options.

    John

  • tbh I was so busy bendin' exotically I missed this.

    Which is my point.

As a yogah gal tryin' not to close pack my hip joints as I engage with the spirityool menagerie of the Cosmos, natchrlly I got my favo ways of chillin' real smart.

But let's assoom your audience runs on Half Balestra Powah an' they semi-clueless.

What's your course got gowin' that is actschwlly worth these gals' time?

They already mixin' & matchin' outfits an' unsuppressed farts as a groop, an' prolly burnin' pizza at home accidentally so's they can prana their own yama nirvana.

Tellya, this niche is widah open than a straddle split, so you gotta pick a viable vestibyool an' target till you can't walk straight.

Gotta figure Helga Schtrumm had the yogah market worked out real early.

You hear so much 'bout gooroos these days you forget 'bout the wisdom of SEEKERS.

So here's a gal milkin' cattle in 1600s GERMANY who figures a lifetime of toil ain't her scene.

She wants abundant happiness sparkin' from her boobies so she can point 'em at her dream horizon an' figure two smart ways to shoot.

Anyways, she left her barn in Wherevaughenstein ... an' she wandered.

Less'n you gowin' round in circles, you got plenty options on the periphery of the landmass attached to Germany, an' the gal eventually beached up in CHINAH.

Whereupon her lust for spirityool booty combined with her desire for trimmedness of ass in ways made her squeal till she WOKE DISTANT RODENTS.

Why am I tellin' this story?

If'n she'd known soonah 'bout the dinky outfits associated with all things yogic, prolly she woulda quit Germany in 1595 an' stole a horse.

Like she wrote in her now iconic reflective journal ...

"What joy is there in wrapping feet behind heads
when we lie awake, uncomfy in our beds?
Better to walk always to a calmer place
where joggers match the smile upon your face."

You can easily find affiliates for any niche from both ClickBank and Berush. Both are very reliable and amazing sources for all the requirements you have listed so far
