How to find my websites with affliate links to Clickbank products

Shame on me... Today I checked my ClickBank reports and as an affiliate I see I have a lot of hops for a product. It has a lot of hops but no sales. I wanted to take a look at the webpages I put there so I can do some research and improve the sales rate, because those pages or posts were written a long while ago so i have no idea which pages generates those ClinkBank hops.

However, I have quite a few web sites and I also posted the affiliate links to this product in different forums/social media. Is there a tool out there to allow me to track my back links to this product? To my surprise, ClickBank does not have the tools to let you check all the source URLs you put your affilate links to a product you promoted.

Any thoughts appreciated.

How can you not know what products you're promoting for where?

To answer your question though, you can't - you'd need to get the traffic source of your hops FROM clickbank, and I doubt they'll share that with you.

I'd just start looking into your websites, seeing where you're promoting clickbank products, and go from there.

    Good luck

As mentioned above, those posts/pages were written a long while ago so I lost track on where I posted/wrote blog posts to promote this product. I thought CB should share this info so we can track and improve. Some backlink checker online also did not help if I enter my AFFLIATE.VENDOR url. [link removed by moderator] Someone might know how to tackle this I believe.

If this product does not sell after 600 hops I may promote other products or use Adsense. But I ahve to locatwe those forum / blog posts first. My bad, I did not put tracking ID in my CB hop links.

you can use google and do a site search and use your clickbank ID

    example Site:mysite.com clickbank id

so go to all your sites and do this search. if you are still not sure just google how to search a site and there are many step by step tutorials

A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

This happens to me as well.

I've promoted so much stuff over time in so many different places that it's hard to keep track. I still get recorded hops for products that haven't existed for years.

If you're only promoting from your own sites, then what Al suggests will work for you. If you've done promotions in multiple places like Google sites, Free websites, Squidoo Lenses, etc. it's going to be very hard to track down where they're coming from.

My posts were all over internet back a long while ago so it's really difficult. I am suprised that ClickBank (CB) did not share this info. A G Anaylytics like features would have easily solved this problem if CB has it.

That is why you need a tool like Clickmagik to track your affiliate traffic.

Clickbank have TID option when you generate affiliate link where you can put your traffic source. That way you can track if the traffic came from blog or other websites. The TID must be done separately for each traffic source.

Thanks to all who replied/viewed this thread. Learns learned. So what is the best way here to track? I read Clickmagik, how does that work?

      Basically my questions are:
      1) what is the free/no cost way to track your affliate source other than an Excel sheet
      2) what is the commercial software out there. Appreciate if you can provide a brief review if you used it

      Thanks.

A good free way to track your link is to use a script called YOURLS which stands for Your Own URL Shortener. It's fairly easy to install on your web host. If you're not technically inclined, I'm sure you could find someone on Fiverr to do it for you very cheaply.

It's a great way to clean up/beautify all your affiliate links and it has really good tracking stats included in it.
