Guitar lessons affiliate programs - are they worth it?
I like this forum a lot and I hope that someone could provide me with some insights.
I run a guitar learning website, it's quite old (8 years), SEO rankings and traffic are good (about 2500 visits a day), I also have a mailing list with 12.000 subscribers.
I monetize the site by promoting two classic online lessons affiliate programs, Guitar Tricks and Jamplay (sometimes Truefire and Artistworks).
The problem is that affiliate sales are very random, one month I can sell 20/30 subscriptions and the month next only 2.
I know that there some issues with pay online guitar lessons programs:
- there is a huge amount of free stuff on the Internet (including top quality site like Justin Guitar)
- this niche is seasonal, usually goes up in the cold months and slow down in the summer
- affiliate programs pay you only on sale and there are no recurring payments.
I wonder if it would be better to look for another time of monetization.
Every reply will be welcomed, thank you!
