B2B Affiliate Marketing for Niche Products

I work in the maritime industry, with a focus on offshore and energy. I'm shown demos a few times a year by different tech or equipment startups in the space, some of which who have affiliate programs. I'm sure if I started looking I'd be able to find more, or strike one on one deals with some of these companies.

What would be your suggestions for best practices in setting up an affiliate campaign for goods like these? I don't want to be seen pushing products from my personal accounts, so rather am thinking of targeted ads leading to an educational funnel like a webinar, whitepaper, long form page or something similar.

I have an example deal in place now, with a company offering a specific software solution on a SaaS basis. It is structured so that I bring in the client, do a discovery call, then turn it over to the company sales team as a warm lead. I then receive 6% of the initial sale and 4% of any upgrades in the next 12 months.

How would you all approach something like this?

I think going the webinar way would be the easiest strategy for you. But first you need to set up a working sales funnel .

If your Saas product was an expensive initial purchase, I do think that sales funnel and webinar would be a great strategy.

Having never set up a working sales funnel, could you give me an overview of what that looks like?

Something like lead capture>webinar>email follow up campaign ?

I would recommend you creating a mini-website about the niche of the product, so you can place on this website a few brands. And then to promote it in search engines using the most popular keywords.
Using affiliate tracking you can redirect users to the whitepaper, pricing page or to any other page of the brand.
