How Many Clicks Should I Buy To Test Out any Affiliate Vendors Landing Page should it be 300 - 500 - 900 clicks ....what would*be considered.... a good test sample of clicks to buy ..... to find out how well it converts without using a bridge presell page**

So conversions are different from optin rates can you clarify on this more

Also, lets say I buy 500 clicks and only lets say 3 people subscribe to my email list after going to their landing page how do I calculate the conversions of how many people joined my list and nobody buys my product ?

There are different factors that can affect the conversion rates when sending direct traffic to vendors page, the list, fake clicks, etc etc

  • 500 should be good and if the conversion is less than 1% , it is bad.

    • Thanks,,,, so if less than 1% is bad, so what is good greater than one percent is this based on tests you have done yourself or from mentions from other gurus on the internet
  • usually 300 clicks are a good amount of test clicks to buy.

When you buy 500 clicks and only 3 submit their email address you have a huge problem..
a normal optin rate you could be satisfied with is between 25% - 35%.

in your example you have a conversion rate of 0,6% if this was your question

    • TobiMDD thanks isn't this a little high 25% for optin rates is this based on your test results or something else and what was your formula for calculating it

  • how many is not important, what is important is where you buy them, how much you spend on them, and the ROI for the purchase.

  • You are dismissing agmccall, but he's got the right answer.

If you buy 1000 at $10 and you make 1 sale at $50, you're $40 ahead.

If you buy 500 at $10 and you make 1 sale at $50, you're $40 ahead.

If your question is: how much traffic to send before you give up, the answer Agmccall's response covers that too.

Your vendor should have provided you with how many of his visitors convert, on average.

That gives you an idea of how many you have to send to get average results.

So, if they say they're sales page converts at 5%, you need to send 20 visitors, if your visitors are average.

If your visitors are poorly acquired, you'd have to send more.

Nobody can tell you how many without knowing how you acquire them.

Or what your sales funnel looks like.

One thing to look out for and avoid: vendors that collect visitor email addresses. You'll send them a visitor. The visitor signs up on their list. The visitor buys something. You do not get paid.

    Why?

The visitor was on their list not yours when they bought.

  • I think your budget is the main determinant but the more you buy the better.

    • Nah! If I can afford 200,000 visitors, should I send them to a sales page that does not convert any of them into a sale?
