Hi All,

First of all a big thank you to this forum , learned ( and still learning)
lots from it, Have been diligently reading as many posts as possible for
the past few months.I used to be part of Wealthy Affiliate for sometime but
later decided it was not for me. I find this forum as informative or if not
more compared to it.

Will quick make it really quick
a) Do you recommend directory listing as part of link building?
b) If so do you recommend any directory submission companies or software's?
c) are there any WSO who is into this ?

I am also keen on exploring automated content scripts, does anyone have any
experience with it ,if so can you point me to the right direction please?

Cheers

Melvin

About directory for submitting, I recommend ODP - Open Directory Project but it takes months or even a year or two to get listed.

Personally I have not used any directories submission companies. Those auto ones I used to sign up for are not pointing to targeted sites. So there is no much value of linking except for the backlink.

Go for Quality backlinks which bring you targeted traffic as well.

directory submission is not as powerful as what it was before, but it is still a good link building method, especially when you do submission over time.

    check this offer:

Form my testing I have to agree its not as powerful as it once was

most of the directory submissions are for your homepage, what you really need is deep links

so if you have the money to outsource do it otherwise focus on other link building techniques and get deep links to your pages

then every once in a while throw a few links at the directories

All the directory submission I've tried have been a complete waste of time. If anybody could tell me a method that works I would be grateful.

Hi Melvin, to answer your question, even though directory submission is not as effective as it used to be, I still recommend it, if for nothing else then at least to make your site look 'natural' in the eyes of Google. Ideally your site's backlinks should come from a variety of sources, and directory submission would be one of them.

I use these two guys for this purpose. I recommend them 100%
