Google Web Stories Plugin Receives First Major Update

GIFs
Courtesy of Tenor, GIFs can now be added using the Web Stories plugin, and are easy to install, simply requiring a drag and drop. What's also great is using these gifs won't slow down your page:
The Tenor GIF library is extensive and most likely features the GIF you're looking for, whether its from a Movie, TV show, or game. The image below shows the GIF library and interface in action.

Brand-new typography options
Google has teamed up with iA, a company well versed in typography; the partnership adds a range of excellent new fonts and text sets to the Web Stories plugin. Google commented on the new typography, stating:
"The result is a set of carefully created combinations that let you mix and match different harmonious typography, and a dynamic toggle ("Fonts in Use") that shows you only text sets that match what you're already using, so you can be confident that your choices pair well together." |

Video Subtitles
The final major feature released in this update gives users, through the Editor, the ability to add subtitles for their videos. The image below shows the new subtitles appearing in a Web Story video.

The three features added in this update give users more creative freedom, and make content on the platform more accessible. To gain access to the new additions, users must first update the Web Stories plugin.
