Hey Rob, Thanks, that worked a treat!

Now for the "Terms Of Use"

Anyone got any resources? Also, if I take this from another site and just edit my website details into it, is this allowed???

Be very careful. There were a few marketers burned badly about a year ago for copyright infringement. The had used a generator that was using a copyrighted set of legal forms (privacy policy, tos, etc). I believe it cost them a few grand.

I'm using a generator I purchased from the lawyers who created the forms, which gives me license to use them. Much safer. Cost me about $150, but that's a lot cheaper than a few $1000s in compensation.

    Ok,

    Didn't know that, Thanks Kevin!

It looks like I may have to bite the bullet and purchase one for future use!

No, I believe it was a different one. I never used it myself, so not too sure.

Don't use that site. You may be better off not having any policy than using some generic crap you find online to "grab."

Some time ago I created documents for Warriors mainly so they wouldn't get burned by that PriorityDigital junk.

Here is your link: Warrior Special - Webmaster's Legal Guide

Not only do you receive documents you can use and modify, but you also get a crash course plainly explaining what different legal terms mean and why they need to be in your terms.

The ultimate goal is not just to find some legal terms to throw-up to say you have them.

The goal is (1) to prevent lawsuits from being filed in the first place, and (2) if there is a legal problem, to get out as quickly and cheaply as possible.

You can use this on all of your websites.

      .

        Hi Brian,

Does your package address the new, soon-to-be-implemented, FTC guidelines?

        Thanks,

        Elmer

I'll make sure you have update information by the weekend - although there isn't much to be concerned about.

There are no new FTC regulations. On December 1st there is nothing new a person could be sued for that they cannot already be sued for on November 30th. But there is additional clarification and guidance from the FTC about what may be considered deceptive advertising.

I have some easy tips for people to follow that should make a lot of sense and which should increase the marketability of many products.
