Google Ads Just Unveiled Enhancements to Lead Form Extensions
What Are Lead Form Extensions?
Marketers are always looking for more ways to reach users sooner in their journey. For a long time now, Facebook Ads has allowed users to provide email details without departing the platform, but up until a year ago, Google hadn't followed suit. Then, the search engine giant came up with a new extension for Lead Forms. Now, there's added functionality - you can use the new features in al campaign types, and you can access them via the "Ads and Extensions" option:
You then create the form, a submission message, and your ad copy:
Lead form extensions have pre-made questions for users to answer. Tapping the "Question" option brings up a list organized by vertical:
Previously, Lead Forms on Google were always hampered when it came to actually getting your sign-ups. Advertisers had to download them manually into a file, save that file, and then upload the file to their email service provider. Now, you can connect Lead Forms using a webhook or via Zapier and get automated routing to a specific email list, or even directly to a CRM. To do that, go to Lead Form Extension set up and look under "Call to Action," then access the "Lead delivery option":
