One of the most powerful things I have done for my business

I just want to talk about the power of face to face networking.

Actually meeting somebody in person can build a relationship that 100 chats on the social networks cannot.

no matter what type of business you are in whether it is marketing, or weight loss finding a local meet up group or networking event in your area can be immensely powerful.

last thursday I went to the crush it bash in chicago with Gary Vaynerchuk and made some of the most powerful connections of my life and scored some major marketing deals.

relationship building is a very important part of any business.

I met the guy who was personally responsible for bringing in over 80 million dollars worth of sales for dell (were actually going out for dinner and drinks next week., and many published authours

and I am currently working on helping a group of awesome Iphone app devlopers launch an app that is gonna be truly revolutionary. just because of this event

I make it a point to find local meet up groups just to talk and build relationships with other business owners and other like minded people passionate on a topic.

just google meet up groups in google and you can find a meet up group in almost any city on almost any topic.

Try to make it a point of ging to at least one meet up group a month to build solid relationships, with other successful and like minded people and you never know where your business will end up.

make sure you have a stack of business cards with you personal website and and your top social media sites you use like twitter and facebook.

focus on building a real friendship with everyone you meet and not just business related.

try it for a while and let me know what happens for you.

Another benefit to face to face networking: it reminds me that there actually are off-line business opportunities out there (can't tell you how many times I've met with someone about an online JV and it turns into a hybrid online/offline JV)

yeah I agree, so many people in this business are actually limiting themselves by just staying online. and the other way around for offline businesses.
