You will rarely make money QUICK online unless you have some sources (list, website,..) or experience. I would suggest to find part-time job to cover your expenses and start building your profitable longterm business in your free time: 1. Choose a niche you have passion in and that is profitable 2. Start helping people to solve their problems there 3. Build a list! Best regards George Langer |

Pretty lucrative! No, you'd be better off going to odesk to write articles or something, than amazon mturk. Better off on fiverr, freelancer.com, etc. Amazong mturk, No way!

Good advice. I have heard a lot of people blasting PayPal lately. I for one have had great experience with them since I signed up years ago. I may have been one of the first to jump in. The debit card, as you said, can be a very welcome addition to your wallet when times are tough. Take if from one who knows. |

I just posted this in reply to another "What to do if you're desperate" Topic. Since this seems to be a good place to archive these ideas, I'll post it again here: ======================================== First - Don't waste time buying WSO's right now. Save every cent you can. Most WSOs will take time to implement, at least 2 weeks to a month before you can start to earn anything substantial. I'm going to tell you what I used to do in the past when I wasn't earning allot online, and I got in a tight situation and needed money RIGHT AWAY. I'm talking about earning $300 - $500 from scratch in 3 - 5 days! So here's my suggestion, it's something anyone can REALLY pull off once you follow what I say: 1) Go to Elance.com - Register an account there. It's Free to join. ----- 2) If you can afford $10, sign up for the "Individual" package which gives you 25 "Credits" to apply to Jobs with. If you can't afford $10, you'll have to start with 10 Credits and pay for more credits after you land your first Project. ----- 3) Quickly put together a decent Portfolio, you'd of course need to have some sort of skill you can offer there. 25 Credits means you can apply for 25 Jobs/Projects basically. All you'll need to do is land 2-3 Projects and you can get $500 in under 1 week. ----- 4) For your first Job, all you want is FEEDBACK! Once you get good Feedback on that site, Buyers don't care how many jobs you did in the past, they look at Average Feedback score first. So... You're basically going to "Beg" for Feedback. Apply to a Job worth let's say... $150 - 250. Look at the Bids of the other Applicants and Bid LOWER than them all, at the Minimum limit of $50. Write to the Buyer: "Hey! I'm very interested in your Project... etc... I have all the required skills... etc... but... I'm in urgent need of money right now, so I'm willing to do an excellent Job for you at the minimum Bid of only $50." Chances are they will hire you right away once you can prove you have the skills. Sure you may end up doing more work than what is worth for $50, but you are in a tough situation right? For example, I would offer a Logo Design + 5 Banners for $50 if I was in urgent need of $. Normally I would charge ~$150 for something like that professionally done. ----- 5) So once you land your first job which isn't that Hard to do, they give you Full 5 Star feedback because you gave them a steal of a Deal. ----- 6) Now you are looking for the Big Jobs, paying $500. For example, I would apply to a Job asking for a Website to be Built. Websites start at $500 usually. I tell them again, I'm in need of money, I'll do that Job for you for 50% of the Basic Price, $250. Again, chances are you'll get hired if you can show you have the skills and drive. ----- 7) Let's say the Project will take more than a week to complete, ask them for upfront payment because of your situation. Yeah... it sounds demanding, but it works. Once I explain myself to a Client, that I was in a tough situation, and I needed money now. They often sympathized and gave me the upfront payment. Of course I held up my side of the deal very well. ----- 8) So you only need to land 2-3 Projects paying $200 - $250. Let them pay you upfront because of the situation, and promise that you'll be spending the rest of your month working to give them back double the value. ----- 9) You can get your money in as little as 1-2 days from Elance. Don't waste time with Fiverr which takes 14 days, or other sites that keep your money on hold. ======================================== So, this is what I had to share for you and others in need of URGENT cash. It works, because I've done it in the past when I was low on money. I own Dedicated Servers that cost me $300+ per month to run my business. In the early days when I didn't earn allot from it, I'd often come up short on $ at the end of the month. So sometimes I'd have to get $300 in 3 days, and this is what I did. You can use this Philosophy anywhere! not just on Elance. Go to a local store and tell them you are willing to work as a Night-shift Security for 2 weeks at 1 week's pay. You can find allot of stuff people will be willing to pay you for if you give them a 50% price deal for your skill. Just be sincere and honest and people will easily trust you. Lastly, prayers work for me. I trust in God in tough situations. Best of luck to you all! |

In my opinion, the #1 thing not to do if you're desperate is to buy things. This will just lead to negative profit... It takes time to build a business, you just need to keep on trying until you succeed. Once you know something along the lines of what you're doing, then begin to purchase useful content, that you'll actually need/be able to make money out of. Hope this helps, Ben |

I was still employed when I started an affiliate storefront which I bought from clickbank enticed by the sales hype and was hoping to earn some good passive income as written in the sales pitch but never made a single sale from the website. I was then busy with my job and also naive about internet marketing and didn't give enough time to promote the site. I realized it's not that easy. The script was written in php and links to the products are not SEO friendly. To make the story short, the site was not getting enough traffic to my frustration. I decided then to replace the site's contents with a wordpress blog that features clickbank products and amazon products, incorporated adsense and infolinks codes and that's the time I noticed some improvement with the quantity of the traffic the site is getting and started making some money with adsense, amazon and infolinks. However, tracking the site's monthly traffic stat's, I noted that improvement is slow in the number of hits. That's probably because I didn't do SEO techniques seriously and depended on rss feeds, site submissions and wordpress pinging only. I was searching for ways on how to improve traffic to my websites and fortunately found your post. I came across an article from the free traffic system about submitting pdf versions of articles to websites that host and share pdf documents just like you said. Pdf, docs and ppt files are new file types and that these are being harvested in the web not only by Goolge but by plenty of "file directories" that give back one way backlinks to the page. I think it is really a new way of getting back links and helps a lot in getting a good page rank. Thanks for your post. I learned some new ways of back linking. |

One of the best suggestions would be to forget trying to make it online in the IM niche initially. Learn all you can about internet marketing and apply it offline! Although I've been sucessful with selling physical products online I always struggled as an affiliate, jumping from project to project but when I started dealing with "offline" businesses the game changed for the better. I now concentrate my marketing efforts towards helping offline businesses get new customers, especially from facebook and it works like a charm. If you don't like the thought of talking with business owners then get over this hurdle because there is gold here! Chances are, if you've been around IM for a while, your knowledge is greatly superior to most offline business owners and they'll literally throw money at you to get on board. |

The problem with MLM, affiliate marketing, etc. is it takes time to set up. If you dont have a list or know what you're doing, they are definitely NOT the way to go. But if you can offer some type of service, just follow Andrew's plan and you'll be SET. Thanks brother- I'd thank you but I ran out of them already! Justin

You could try a Fiverr gig, not necessary IM related, also i heard some websites pay you for pictures but didn't really looked into it, basically if you got a camera and like photography why not check it out ? MLM does seem fishy but im sure there are some legit progs, i would'nt recommend this to a newbie though. You could give a try to your writing skills on some website such as : Unique content - Textbroker.com Anyone had any success with surveys websites also ? Im currently trying it but most of the survey websites are americans and accept only peoples from there . Though some huge renowned companys claim you can make money with them, not gonna advertise anymore (already did with textbroker) but you surely can find info about that. |

Posting a $20 ad in WF Classified section can make you at least $500-600 bucks if done right. Just say, whatever you need, I can do, I can write xx articles for xx amount, I can do link building, I can be your personal assistant, etc. If you get 4-5 people to contact you - you can make that money. Basically offer your skills cheap and you can make a lot. Now imagine if you wrote title - Personal FULL TIME Assistant ONLY $7 Also posting classified ad with your skills on craigslist can make you quick money. |

This is worse than suggesting they get into MLM. Folks, be very careful not to promise more than you can deliver. You don't want to go there. Seriously. It will not fix the short term problem, and it will create much larger long term problems. Paul |

Hi, This thread is worth bumping and making it alive. A lot of practical suggestions. Exceptional contributions by warriors. Most of the advice are really transnational except for Craig's List local jobs. Here are some tips from me. I think this would be my longest post ever on WF. ... bear with me. --------- start --------- 1. Look for Old Assets at your home. ( zero cost ) One time, I was really out of cash. Had to eat instant noodles ( 25 cents per pack ) ... breakfast, lunch and dinner ... roflmao. Not so yummy. Logged on Ebay and sold some old books. Some of the books were not evergreen at all but they were sold in a few days. The trick was Buy One Get One Free. I still can't figure out why people would buy old editions. The evergreen books were sold at better prices. Still I offered Buy 1 Get 1 Free. The free gifts were mostly books on Living Tips - pocket type and thin. Some gifts were printed Maps - World, Euro States and Locals. TIP : All books and gifts were photographed from various angles. Honest description about the books' conditions. The photos were posted on the Ebay. I have a link to my web site on every Ebay post - just to let prospects know they are dealing with a credible person who won't runaway. 2. Look for Old Assets from your neighbors homes. ( zero cost ) First off - DON'T STEAL ! ... lol. just kidding. Ask your neighbours whether they have Old Books to sell. Offer them a cut when the books were sold on EBAY. They still keep their books until the date to deliver. Or if you feel they're the fickle kind, make sure YOU keep the books for them. I know one lady friend doing this. Later on she upgraded to selling small items she refurbished, which were bought from flea markets. She's really doing good. 3. Assess your KSAH and use them ( zero cost ) K = Knowledge, S = Skills, A = Attitude, H = Habit. Well.. there are more to assess but start from KSAH first as they are major. I was greatly surprised to the outcome of assessing my own KSAH. It was my turning point. They were marketable. Enabled me to resign from my high-pressure day job. NOTE : Please don't get me wrong and label me as a major brag. Just deliberating a bit .. ok. Skills : I could quickly grasp major business issues people faced as they speak about it - many industries. Able to re-explain the issues right after the discussions. Then represent them again on paper in the simplest manner that the prospects would say " Yes ! That is definitely the issue. " and would later say to me, " Can you help us? ". Attitude - I don't mind digging and digging for hours on end about any subject matter to have basic or more understanding. Mind-map and then express them in presentation format. Habit - Develop and Maintain networks, Contribute as much as possible. etc. 4. Improve your KSAH and practice them ( zero to some cost ) Almost every money making activity requires knowledge and skills. While waiting for your major break, use the time to improve knowledge. You can improve knowledge via free or paid tutorials on the Internet or attend paid training classes. To make sure knowledge becomes skills, you must practice them. The best way to practice is to contribute them for free as long as it only cost you time and energy but not money. FREE CONTRIBUTION => VALUABLE. Contributing sharpens your abilities and pops out your areas for improvement. It is also a way to PROMOTE. And when you get your break, you'll be able to do it faster and better. Clients would be happy. And when you get your break, consider you're in a PROMO PERIOD. Offer your lowest price. Why? You need customer reference - as many as possible. Reference means experience which translate to credibility. In WF, Reference is called as REVIEWS. 5. Improve your resources and tools ( some cost ) After some jobs, you'll reach a point where you need to quicken processes and enhance your quality of work further. In fact, you might want to impress clients with more punch. For example, an important part of my activities is to provide clients with custom presentation files and papers. Clients use them in business presentations, trainings and reports. Previously I provide them PowerPoint files and some elements were cliparts. Then I start using other softwares to compile multimedia presentation files into exe format. This means, my clients and their clients no longer need to have MS PowerPoint to view presentations. As for elements, I improve by buying stock photos, videos and sound files. Now I go further by outsourcing photography, videography and music. In Internet Marketing, the nearest examples of progress : FREE TOOLS ( Google Keywords, Google Insights ) -> PAID TOOLS ( Market Samurai, Traffic Travis, SpyFu ) DIY Website Dev -> Outsourced Graphics Only -> Outsourced Total Website Development ------------- end ----------- Hope this helps. |

Let's be Partners give people the creeps. The word is so ugly, broke doesn't look so bad after all. I agree. So change it. Challenge assumptions and do something so different you get noticed and people listen. If you choose to cut through the clutter and get an answer you wouldn't walk around thinking you stink! Why do you want to provide temporary cheap services for the JV Partners and the successful people? Don't settle for less than you deserve. Only you know what you deserve and I'm guessing it's more than that. Money won't make you happy but being happy will make you money. Money is a result and that comes last. You can't make money if you're not happy. If you were happy you wouldn't be here reading this. If I was happy I wouldn't be here writing this either. The way to get what you want is find PEOPLE who want the same thing. The fastest way to get paid is offline websites but not the kind you think. Offline business owners need websites that run their companies. Those are called Online Business Platforms and they've been around since 2004. Too bad nobody wanted to become partners because now I don't have a designer. I would rather have 50% of the BEST in the World than 100% of UGLY but that's better than doing nothing. That's what happens when you do everything yourself. EZ1Business Platform Video Go ahead and pretend you have a customer and build him/her a brand new website. See if you can figure it out - user-friendly and all that. btw - it doesn't cost anything to look and try stuff out. I'm in this by myself - everyone I know is busy offline and they don't even like computers. Can you see if you can break something and let me know. Don't be gentle - its gotta be tough - no time for anything else. Almost forgot! http://www.skillpages.com That's a free website for matching up skills with jobs. ,
I retired in 2005 at 43 and now I give away websites like these for FREE [hosting excluded] When you make at least $100+ per month, we split the profit 80/20 and YOU get the 80% Until then, you keep 100% and I'll help you drive traffic, get backlinks and put the domain in your name too!

Neither you nor anyone else has a license to compile these forum posts into a product without obtaining permission from each individual poster whose work you want to include. Putting copyright violations up for sale on the site you stole the content from isn't a real smart move.

I think that "A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step"... I know, kinda corny and cliche but I think that making your first dollar online is maybe the hardest of all, so In my opinion, you should start small and build your way up. I think "small money job" sites like fiverr and MiniMoneyJobs are a quick and simple way to get the ball rolling. You can offer (even silly) services and still get a person or two to pay you for that service. Just make sure your service is something that would take no more than 5 minutes because you will only make $4.... these small (maybe only moral) victories get you in the habit of providing services and honing your skills online... |

Blog Entries: 4 | STOP Thinking "push button", "Lightening speed", "_____ tricks", "$_____ in 30 Days" type of stuff and start thinking long term. Build a 2 - 5 year plan with solid content, your own opinion and user experience in mind. Don't look for the quick buck because those schemes simply do not last. Stop trying so hard to trick Google and FaceBook with fake likes, etc... and think about your end user for a change. No one is willing to put in the time it takes to create a successful business. Everyone wants it now. But if you quit making excuses, get your head straight, create a real plan and put everything you have into it then in time you can build a successful business you can be proud of. Do these things and you will surpass many people on this forum who are jumping from one thing to the next looking for their next payday. PS. Find an equal balance between what you enjoy doing and what is currently making money online. Start your search there and go for it. PPS. Do enough good things consistently and your business will grow! |

Wherever anyone is on their own journey, you either have time than money or more money than time. One of the best ways to earn while you learn is offering to be a Virtual Assistant to successful internet marketers by offering to do some tasks for them. Think about how you can help people rather than how you can you make money and you might find you are more valuable than you think. |

I would stay away from eBay's Partner Network. In my experience, they don't want small affiliates and will look for reasons to ban you. Their TOS is pages long and gives them the flexibility to pretty much drop you for any reason... which is what has happened to many others. I would start with Amazon and Clickbank as they are friendlier to smaller affiliates. |

Great idea Paul! Okay, this list is in no particular order but here are my suggestions for immediate income: 1) Odd jobs. If you can clean, cut grass (use their mower), walk dogs, run errands, pet sit, kid sit, rake leaves, shovel snow...go for it! I think too many people who are in a tight spot sit and wait for the magic to happen at their computers. Get off of your butt and go and serve someone. Do a good job and get paid (sorry, dad's work ethic bleeding through there). 2) Micro-jobs. By now we all know about the micro job sites that are online. You probably have a skill that folks will pay you 5 to 10 bucks to do. Yes, it does not sound like a lot of money -- at first. But do the math. If you can get 5 of these micro jobs a day at $10 bucks (10 x 5 = 50 x 30 days = $1500/month) you can feed the family and keep the lights on. If you learn how to upsell it will make you more cash. 3) Virtual Yard Sales - find neighbors, friends, family members with something to sell and move it online through ads on craigslist or the other top free ad sites. Take a 30% commission for selling the item. (Of course if you have a yard near a busy street you can do this same thing OFF line). 4) Sell your car! Yeah, a shocking thought at first. But if you are close to mass transit (or are not working anyway) why continue to pay insurance and gas prices. You might pickup $10k to $20k that can help you get through the tough months until things start to look up. Lots of people live without an automobile, plus you will be helping the ecosystem. 5) Cut expenses. We ARE talking about being desperate right? Are you paying money on: cable TV, internet service, fast food, coffee, cigarettes, etc.? Take a hard look at your spending. You could probably save a couple hundred dollars a month by just cutting back. 6) Panhandle! Yep. This still works. Go to a part of town far from your home. Grab a bunch of pens, or pencils at the dollar store and put them in a cup. Get some old clothes from the Goodwill store, dirty them up a bit and find a median strip (close to a fast food restaurant with a bathroom). Place a sign around you neck (no I am NOT kidding) asking for "help". I have heard of panhandlers earning up to $100/day on a good corner. Find a hiding spot for your money (or work in "shifts" with a partner). (You did say desperate right...?) 7) Brokering. Find someone with a skill; writer, designer, programmer, voice over talent, and broker their services on one of the web sites. 8) Go to a big car dealership and offer to hold up a "Sale" sign for an hourly fee (might lead to a job in auto sales). 9) SALES! Learn to sell something. There are books in the library and hundreds of telemarketing firms looking for folks who are not afraid of the telephone. You could probably find clients online who would pay you to provide follow up calls for their products or services. 10) Volunteer. If you reach out to help others who are in a worst situation than you it may help change your perspective ("I complained about having no shoes until I met a man with no feet"). It may also lead to other opportunities. Soup kitchens, senior centers, adult daycare, etc. are always looking for good people. I pray these get your creative juices flowing. And if you really ARE in a tight spot with a family to support, or in jeopardy of losing your home, etc. Pray. Put your faith in God. Sometimes in our darkest moment help appears. Please don't be too proud to ask for help. Odds are there is someone in your immediate circle who would gladly lend a hand if you let them know the situation. I wish you well. May you get back on your feet quickly. Godspeed! Mike |

You can sign up for G adwords and use their $100 credit to generate some traffic to your website, maybe with an affiliate offer link and an article? Won't make you rich but is a start...

When I'm really desperate I just start to hump my wife's leg and hope she takes pity on me...maybe that's not what you are looking for though It's possible this has been said before, but local business are great targets. And I don't mean just for the typical "Hey I'll help you with your social media, get you on the first page of google" type stuff you normally hear about either. If your "thing" is marketing, and if you spend much time on the WF it probably is, I can almost promise you that you have tons more knowledge about marketing compared to your average local bricks and mortar guy. I did an experiment, and it's not a business I plan to build out, I just had a concept and I wanted to test it out. I approached 7 different business before I found one to take me on. It was pretty simple. Most business focus a lot of energy on getting new customers, and smart ones also focus on keeping the ones they have. But everyone seems to figure that if someone doesn't do business with them anymore, well, they won't continue too. Well that's not true at all. People stop doing business with you for all kinds of reasons, and then after they have stopped for awhile they just get out of the habit so then they don't for the very simple reason that they are not. That's all. Get them back in the habit and many of them come back as regulars, heck some of them will become the best customers you have because they can't believe you cared to get back in touch with them. Most local business never think of this, and if you can put a pitch together, and come up with a campaign, you can make some serious coin. Like I said I approached 7 business to get 1 to sign up. I imagine that if I built this out and had a reputation I wouldn't have to approach as many to get one sign up, and eventually people would just be coming to me. In the end the entire project took me about 60/70 hours, that included talking to all the local business, making my pitch, setting it up etc. The business that did run the campaign went from averaging $14,000 a month to averaging $19,000 a month, and I get 7.5% of it. You think they are happy to make an extra $5K a month, especially in an economy like this? Hell ya. And I get paid about $300 to $400 each month for it too. Is it all the money in the world? No - but it's every single month. If I was to decide to turn this into a full time business, which I'm not interested in doing, it could easily be a mid six figure a year business because of the additional services and consulting I could offer to clients etc etc. Once it went beyond what I could handle myself, it's easily scalable. In any event, if I was totally desperate, I might consider this. Or working at Wendy's, which I'm not being a smart ass about. When I was in college and broke I used to pick up soda cans from all the tail gaters during football games. If you need money you need money, and you do what you gotta do. |

If you are in a bind and you need some quick cash then you gotta trade time for money and use your skills. (worry about building your internet assets later) Go to fiverr and look around for what is selling or something that you can do or produce real quick, something with a quick turn around. EX - I could send postcards from Japan or sing a bday song on youtube Post your gig and wait for the orders. To recap: find out whats hot find something with a quick turn around find something unique to you or your area Sell it at five bucks a pop. Best of luck to you and be well |

Probably here's a quick way to make some money that I have used personally. Create a killer product in your niche. This should not take lots of time, probably an audio training package should get done in 3 days or an interview based product in a niche should get created in approx. 1 day. Contact few hundred people in your niche to do a JV with you to sell your product. Even if you sit full time you can easily go about contacting 500 people in your niche in 10 days time, 50 per day. What if only 1% responds back and agrees to help you out to promote your product, this can easily pull out few thousand dollars worth of sales. Product creation, salesletter, etc should take max one week. Contact JV partners another 10 days. Proabably you can get the above rolling within 20 to 30 days. If everything goes well you will be smiling to the bank. Your investment in the above plan is practically zero, the only cost will be to get a hosting account, domain name and probably an affiliate management system like clickbank. Hope this helps... |

I'd like to add my two cents here. It does take awhile to get up to speed with Online Sales, selling your own Ebooks, Ebay, Amazon, etc. but many people are succeeding here after working at it awhile. So my advice would be to go out and actively look for offline work at least half of your day. Keep a positive outlook, and you may find something at least part-time to cover your bills. Remember that many jobs are never listed in the paper, and sometimes you can luck out and find one in person. Somebody may have just quit, for example. This forum is a great place to learn about making more money online. Have this be your other job that you can work on during your free time. Use the free resources and downloads here and follow the free advice too until you have enough to buy a trusted online selling plan or book about making money online. But your "real" offline job can be your safety net while you are learning. |

First of all I want to thank you all for putting together such immense amount of information. I think I should devote some serious time to the stickies out here, as people have posted their real time experiences. I have been a member of this site from 2009 but for the past two years I didn't even bothered to look at and wasted my time trying my hand on IM odd jobs..... My advice to all newbies is to focus and and find a good source and once it is done stick to your source like a postage stamp and grab whatever you can. Many starters like me make one grave mistake and i.e. they hop from one source to another is search of a perfect IM solution which can make them tons of money with minimal effort and that is where they go wrong. Hard work is something you cannot replace, it has to be their in you to make your way to success. Atlast just wanna convey that I got my source and will be going through it whenever I get time from my offline job and duties. Thanks everyone for creating such an informative forum Best Regards Powerbuks |

Step 1: Change your mindset. Desperate is just in your mind. Step 2: Sell everything that isn't bolted down. You will discover that you really can live with less stuff. You will also discover that you don't "need" nearly as much as you thought you did which will make it easier to get into the black. Check out some of the minimalism blogs out there for ideas on how to be happy with less. Step 3: Pick your battle plan. Doesn't matter what it is, just pick it! Step 4: Work your a** off until your situation improves. |

Here's what I did one day years ago when I was at my (financial) wit's end after being retrenched from a good job... I had some computer skills but I'm sure you (if you are reading this) do as well - you do not need to be a certified Microsoft professional to do this. Here's what I did in one day... 1) Wrote a one page ad in Word 2) Took it to the printer and asked for 1000 folded black and white prints (cheap) 3) On my bike and started delivering all around my neighbourhood. It said something like... Got Computer Problems? Need help? I will come to you and fix all computer issues from virus clean ups to malware scans and if you like I'll even show you how to do stuff if you like. I'll stay until you're happy to let me go...and I'll do it all for $100 flat fee. My phone started to ring even before I got home and when I did there were messages on my machine. Let's say every client exploits your generosity to the max and keeps you there for 8 hours, it's still $500 a week (for 5 days) but here's what happened... I was doing two or three jobs a day (other days none of course) so I was earning MORE than my IT Help Desk job (I was retrenched from) and I had experienced true freedom (making enough money and doing what I want all day). I was making over $1,000 a week most weeks and met a LOT of nice people and the most important part was that I had hundreds in my pocket the next day. It was enjoyable as well which was a nice bonus and worked well with my "I like to help people" mindset. like visiting friends because they were all so grateful to get decent value and to have someone there to help them get some use out of their computer again. Tip: On the reverse side of the flier print "Keep this side for notes. Respect our environment!" (and I added my contact details, and a slogan so they could that as well). I can tell you I was getting calls for YEARS afterwards because people kept that flier. The printing cost a small amount of money (folding was 1c per sheet) but it plumped my wallet for a bit and allowed me to focus on digging my way out with a more permanent solution - which I did. Hope that helps someone who's desperate. Tip 2: Don't be too proud to talk to people and be grateful for what you DO have. Being grateful snaps you out of depression if you let it. Yeah, I know depression is no joke but it helps to talk to people. Talk to us here on this forum, talk to your friends, let them know you are looking for a way to do a fair day's work for a fair day's pay. You might be surprised what suggestions will come up. |

Well here I am better late then never, been hovering around this site for as many years as yall have been out. Why am I finally joining, I guess I have bought enough stuff from the site, that I figured I may as well actually be apart of it and come up with some products of my own. As far as "What to do if your desperate"........I may as well start putting my 2 cents in...tough times don't last but tough people do.....is my first thought. Giving up......is not an option.....quitters never win and winners never quit.....from a quitters point of view.....and on and on. This is the deal..... how desperate are you? What do you call desperate...I mean is it because you can no longer afford to go to the Day Spa on a semi daily basis, a crisis for you or are you having to decide if you want to sleep under the river bridge tonight or flop at the homeless shelter. Now, please don't get me wrong, I have been at both extremes and am not trying to take this subject lightly but the second scenario is the one that I seem to be closer to than I like and I think that there are a lot of people out there that are in the same boat or hanging on to the side of that boat. Only a couple of paychecks away from bankrupcy (hey I've been bankrupt too and it just gives you a fresh start is all) Remember "The Titanic" don't really care to end up like ole Jack but I would rather end up like the "old lady (without the dimensia) that allowed her dimensia kick in and throw a cazillion dollar jewel to the bottom of the ocean. There are so many different situations out there and each one is personal and real. However, the basic truth is this......naked you came into this world and naked you will leave (yeah, I know you may have on some threads) but the bottom line is this......no matter who you are or how much money you have or don't have, does not matter at that point.....you are going back to your maker. (I am not going to use this as my personal platform to promote my beliefs on this subject unless of course you want to talk ....I will be glad to) So when you are at that point and you understand ....you can't take it with you (but it sure is nice to have plenty while your here) it helps for you to have a different perspective....................... I am sooooooooooo sorry.......seems as though I have gotten carried away.....I'll save this for a new thread. Thanks, Scott Breedlove |
