Having the Debit Card can allow you to have funds immediately available upon making a sale, and when you're desperate, that's priceless.

This is actually very helpful. I didn't know Paypal has a business debit card that so the funds can be accessed directly. Hopefully, it's available in my country as well (Philippines). I've been doing freelance work for years and had to wait for a couple of days before I can actually spend my money. Had too many desperate times as well.

Yes very true. I even take it one step further and do biking, swimming , and running ( well not anymore since my hips got bad).

If you have a few bucks and are looking to flip that into more money, check out Bid On Fusion. They buy truckloads of pallets from chain stores. Returns, shelf pulls, salvaged items, etc. I've had some luck buying a few skids at their auctions, salvaging through the pallets for usable items, then reselling those items either through 'yard' sales, or a booth I have at a flea market. You have to be careful, and it is best to bid on the skids 'on site' rather than depending on the few pictures they provide. They have several outlets around the country. If you have any skill at repairing or fixing tools, some of the tool skids offer great upside. If you latch onto the right skid, you might be able to resell via ebay, etc.

But again, this is a buyer beware option; some of these skids are crap. One skid I bought was full of luggage. I thought great, almost 3K worth of luggage I could resell, even with drastic mark downs and some junked out, I figured several hundred dollars of profit would be in order. However, what they failed to show in the pictures was that every single piece of luggage had their wheels cut off. So, if you try to go this route, physically inspect what you are bidding on, if possible.

There are more options than bid on fusion, too. For example, Walmart auctions off pallets on their web site: Walmart Auctions .

If you are desperate, would it be a good idea that may earn few hundred dollars if one just do some good old fashioned flyer/card distribution offline like door to door.


I am in need of extra income actually and thinking of creating a short compelling postcard ad to distribute offline. I am thinking of selecting a generic make money program from clickbank (maybe google sniper). I know of cheap printing option who would print 5000 flyers for £60 which is quiet cheap I reckon.


So if distributing these 5000 flyers, lets say I get just 15 sales (this is less then half a percent response so very conservative figure but we are talking about blind marketing) @ £30 each, that totals 450 less £60 printing costs so making a profit of £390. And if doing that weekly i.e distributing 5000 flyers and get around same results then that is £390 x 4 = £1560 .


So considering lot of wear and tear on the old legs, is this a workable model? Can someone share their experience and results in doing similar excersise to one mentioned above, Thanks all.

Back in 99' I started a Ornamental Sign business that was totally predicated on putting out flyers door to door.

I was a one man show and did it for 4 years. Its how I made my Living during that time.
Those were fun days and the flyers really built my whole business up.

Thats inspiring discrat and great to hear your story.

So it can work even taking into account very low conversion knowing that its not targeted marketing but blind marketing. Offcourse the message on the flyer gotta captivate readers attention enough that he visits the website and then actually buys.

I will give this a go soon. Obviously we are talking also about giving out lot of flyers on consistent basis like I am thinking of 5000 per week, few hundreds here or there wont bring the results.

Here what I think. Not making money is a good enough sign of lacking for knowledge, skills, techniques, etc.

My suggestion is that:

- STOP the bleeding first. Stop spending on buying products that promise you to make money quickly. You should have figured it out by now. It's high time you stopped and started educating yourself. Seek Advices.

- Ask yourself: What is the ONE thing that you're really good at. That you can exchange for money. e.g. design, writing, typing, social media, or any service really.

- The goal is to make money. Right?
Then, don't limit yourself to making money online at this stage. Figure out a way to make money offering your services, whether online or offline. This way you can keep learning and progressing towards succeeding online.

Bear in mind. Succeeding online needs investment (time and money)

With all the emails, spam and digital stuff, fliers may make a good come back. About the same time period I started a flier distribution service. I not only distributed my clients fliers, but my own self-defense (at that time) fliers as well. I charged just slightly under postage costs, got the money upfront of course and hired other people to distribute them paying them half.

Keep the offer cheap as it won't usually take you long to create the video. You will be surprise how fast a good 20 minutes video selling at price as low at $2 sells. Can you elaborate your reply about how to get the buyers at this price range. I have created one course about Procrastination and wanted to sell it for $2 but I find that I am not able to find affiliates on this price range and also the payment process also take all the money.

It will be appreciated if you provide more information on the above mentioned problem.

First of all, do you have a Niche you have decided on Pursuing ? That's important. Unless you have that, things will continue to be on hold

a) Find at least 7-10 HOT selling products on Amazon (through the Best-Selling tabs on the menu) and try to look for products in Home Improvement niche
b) Write reviews for each products
c) Sign up for cheap Hosting and register 15 domain names ...
d) Setup your site, do some on-page SEO, and then, upload all your reviews (7-10 reviews/site) ... At the end, you should have 15 sites with 7-10 product reviews in each
f) Now, if you have $200-$250, visit SEOLinkVine and submit ALL your site for promotion. They will generate thousands of backlinks to all your 15 sites, and by the end of 3 months, you should get higher rankings, possibly 1st position for few sites, and start to see some sales ...

DO NOT focus on buying any other product ... Just put your mind and heart setting up 15 sites and promoting them at the end using SEOLinkVine to make the process of earning money really fast!

If there is similar services that offers high quality backlinks for your site, go for it, but never pay more than $70 dollar for a monthly fee, because all of your sites are new and you do not need heavy backlink generation scheme when you are starting out ...

I don't know how i came up with it but i got this idea so I borrowed 100 bucks of a friend and went and bought all the stuff to make sandwiches. . And i made the most kick ass looking subs, I got 30 of them for the 100.
So at 1145 i went downtown and walked into a random high rise and went in a offices and said thinking of starting a catering business, wanna buy a gourmet sandwich for 10 bucks, I sold out in 5 minutes, 200 buck profit, did it again 2 days Late rand made 400 more.
There all to busy to go anywhere. I thought it was funny but its a gold mine lol

Back in 2009 - I had to make a decision to quit my day job as the company offered redundancies to most of us. I spent 3 months studying everything I found free on youtube and other platforms. I knew some HTML and basic photoshop but I found some great free tutorials to get me started.

In about 4 months, I started making money from web design business. That was 6 years ago and now I am very grateful that I have a full time job as a designer and programmer.

Bottom line, go and get yourself education that you do not need to pay. You can learn absolutely anything - just need to take that first step.

I think that you have to keep your eyes open for opportunities. You may have the mindset that you're gonna be successful, for instance, online and then an offline idea pops up, and Pow.
You gotta follow your gut sometimes and one step will flow right into the next!

Yep, there is just tons of little ideas here and there that people can start and eventually develop it into sources of stable cash flow. Many offline ventures are simple to start up. It's just a matter of putting your Plan together and start "beating the pavement."

OK so I've read through this entire thread and here are my suggestions. They have been mentioned on this thread but no one has really gone into much detail on any of them.

I'm not saying these are the best solutions if you are ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE. If that is the case then you should seek help from family or friends or go down the path of many of the other avenues mentioned in this thread.

They are solutions which can bring money in with little skills (in most cases). Because it all comes down to two things essentially:
1) Marketing yourself well, and
2) Bidding low (in the beginning).

Here are those solutions...

Microsoft Excel:
- Do you have basic excel skills?
- For example, can you enter data into a spreadsheet? If the answer is yes then you can do this!
- There are a ton of excel jobs on upwork.com.
- People that are looking for people with basic excel skills.
- Trust me there are a lot of "creative types" that just don't want to deal with excel. These people can form part of your target market.
- So apply for excel jobs on upwork.com and remember to do two things: market yourself well and bid low initially in order to secure jobs.
- No one is saying to work for nothing. But once you have some experience under your belt then you can bid higher.
- If you have intermediate or even advanced skills then even better. You can apply for more excel jobs!
- Seriously guys don't overlook providing excel services if you have some skills in this area. There is a big demand for it.

Microsoft Office:
- OK so we just talked about Microsoft excel and of course that leaves us with the other applications.
- These are Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook (in the main).
- Have you worked in a job previously and got good experience with one of these?
- Or you just have experience generally with one of them?
- Then a little bit of experience is all you need.
- Start searching for jobs that use one of these applications.
- The same methodology applies to applying for jobs on upwork.com. Market yourself well and bid low initially to secure work.

Data Entry
- People say the money is too low and that you just can't compete with other's from some parts of the world. This is true.
- However, remember you are desperate right? You need to distinguish between doing something out of desperation and something that is a full time career.
- Once you have a little money coming in and are back on your feet then you can stop doing stuff like data entry straight away and work on the bigger picture.
- The same methodology applies to applying for jobs on upwork.com. Market yourself well and bid low initially to secure work.

Virtual Assistant
- The same comments apply that I made for data entry. Yes I know the money is low!
- Do you know your way around a computer?
- If you do then this can be a temporary solution to get you back on your feet.

- Trust me it's a lot easier to "work" with words on a page rather than "create."
- Sure you may say I have no experience but it all comes down to the same methodology again: market yourself well and bid low to secure work initially.
- So if you can string a few words together and like the sound of "editing" rather than "creating" then this may be an outlet for you.

Ebay Arbitrage:
- Ebay arbitrage has been mentioned on this thread but I just want to mention it again because it can be a real easy way to make money.
- Let's say you find a bunch of designer jeans on ebay that someone is selling real cheap.
- You know for a fact that the person is selling them for a steal and so you buy them cheap.
- You then re-sell the jeans on ebay for a higher price and pocket the difference.
- Trust me guys this strategy may sound simple but it works!
- Have you heard of power sellers on ebay? Well most people do not fall into this category and really many don't know what they are doing and are clueless when it comes to correct market value for their items.
- Why not take advantage of these people in a good way by you being the beneficiary!

- First of all I never recommend this solution if you are desperate.

- Because guys that is what it ultimately boils down to. Can you get the job done? Because if you take action and get the job done there is no stopping you on how much money you can make!

- So apply for excel jobs on upwork.com and remember to do two things: market yourself well and bid low initially in order to secure jobs.
- No one is saying to work for nothing. But once you have some experience under your belt then you can bid higher.
- If you have intermediate or even advanced skills then even better. You can apply for more excel jobs!
- Seriously guys don't overlook providing excel services if you have some skills in this area. There is a big demand for it.

- OK so we just talked about Microsoft excel and of course that leaves us with the other applications.
- These are Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook (in the main).
- Have you worked in a job previously and got good experience with one of these?
- Or you just have experience generally with one of them?
- Then a little bit of experience is all you need.
- Start searching for jobs that use one of these applications.

Data Entry
- People say the money is too low and that you just can't compete with other's from some parts of the world. This is true.
- However, remember you are desperate right? You need to distinguish between doing something out of desperation and something that is a full time career.
- Once you have a little money coming in and are back on your feet then you can stop doing stuff like data entry straight away and work on the bigger picture.
- The same methodology applies to applying for jobs on upwork.com. Market yourself well and bid low initially to secure work.

Virtual Assistant
- The same comments apply that I made for data entry. Yes I know the money is low!
- Do you know your way around a computer?
- If you do then this can be a temporary solution to get you back on your feet.

- Sure you may say I have no experience but it all comes down to the same methodology again: market yourself well and bid low to secure work initially.
- So if you can string a few words together and like the sound of "editing" rather than "creating" then this may be an outlet for you.

Ebay Arbitrage:
- Ebay arbitrage has been mentioned on this thread but I just want to mention it again because it can be a real easy way to make money.
- Let's say you find a bunch of designer jeans on ebay that someone is selling real cheap.
- You know for a fact that the person is selling them for a steal and so you buy them cheap.
- You then re-sell the jeans on ebay for a higher price and pocket the difference.
- Trust me guys this strategy may sound simple but it works!
- Have you heard of power sellers on ebay? Well most people do not fall into this category and really many don't know what they are doing and are clueless when it comes to correct market value for their items.
- Why not take advantage of these people in a good way by you being the beneficiary!
