You need to have a look what others are doing in here.

I know 2 warriors that (were) desperate and they spent a few days getting a WSO service together, and now make over $600 per week. Just using this forum. So go and see what things are popular in this forum and where the gravity is shifiting and see if you can offer something better!!! Simple

If you are desperate, chances are you may not be focusing on the important elements. If you are thinking about helping people with a product or service that is already thriving, even in a crappy economy, you are bound for success before you even take the first ounce of action. Just think about that last sentence for a second.

If it was me, I would sell something on ebay.

Or offer to write a flippa description for a website and charge a commission on the final price. Did this last year and made 2k for about 1 hour of flippa ad writing. 2k an hour aint bad money if you ask me.

If I needed money quick, I would get a Job and basically knock on every single door. The Internet aint the solution. In all my years online, I found no get rich quick solution. Why? Because it's a business and businesses take years and up to a lifetime to build up. Sorry for being a party pooper but I know many here know what I'm talking about and approve my reply.

The truth is hard to swallow, I know... and my appologies if I hurt anyone.

You can also get a job on the internet. So it's not always a business. Haven't heard of freelancing sites?

Places like odesk and others are a great way to start getting work. You can use fiverr etc. This can bring some money but if you need money quick - I agree you should use IM after you get a real job to support your needs. There is a learning curve to the IM business and if you need an income fast - you need to use a service to help. What are your strong point? Go to the section here at WF where warriors are looking to hire and see what you can offer or respond to.

The story - whist being very inspiring - alarms me.... why would anyone on contract work enter into a mortgage, (only to end up as per the post) since employment isnt guaranteed?

[ The answer here is the bank giving them away under such circumstances so not the ops fault, and I am in no way pointing the finger that way either ]

1. Grab the Yellow Pages and Choose Industries that Have Money.

2. Look at their websites and see who is using Direct Response.

3. For those who aren't get an e-cover created along with a header graphic (you can use Fiverr.com)

4. Post it to them in the mail and offer to create both for them. Hand address the envelope and use a reflex blue pen to sign the envelope and use real stamps.

5. Tell them they can own the report and website for $1250 They will need to give you 7 bullet points for the report. Get your images from www.Fotolia.com

Send 10 a week and you should sell 2 easily.

6. As soon as you do two sales hire a full-time designer in the Philippines.

7. Be prepared to Micro Manage your employee for at least 6 months and pay him/her $500 a month. Don't believe the crap about $200 a month.

8. If you live in Australia or the UK charge people $57 a month to host.

9. Upsell people to Youtube, Twitter, Facebook etc

Okay that is me done.

Sadly MOST people reading this will just keep chasing rainbows. The very small handful that follow these steps can send me a Dragon-Slayer of a Testimonial.

Wow! Quite a lot of some great tips here, wouldn't this now be a time to analyse and see who has picked what and what success that has brought them?

See, it's interesting that it's easy to provide these tips and even very enjoyable and motivating reading them but for a while, taking action is a whole different game.

My suggestion will be to just get one good training programme and follow it to the T by putting what you learn into action!

If you are low on funds, the wise thing to do is to find a job, and there are many ways that has been shared here, cut your costs and so forth and so on.

So find a job and fund your business, remember to make it your priority to fund your business because it's easy to get laid back and forget about the business.

If you need really quick cash. I'm telling you the truth Internet Marketing is not the
field for you. You can get some money if you launch a WSO or doing some other job
but it is just $200 - $400. Stick the Warrior forum you get something. But for instant
cash i think its difficult. (It is something opposite that most of the IM guru) But for my experience i can't see any one start getting money in 1 or 2 day.

DO What YOU Love. Period. NOT what you THINK makes the most money. Translated, that means: DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Happiness attracts success and money is the result that follows. That will never change, ever. Anyone making money is HAPPY doing what he does every day... "happy" comes from doing what you WANT because believe it or not, everyone does what they WANT unless they are forced or paid to do something else...BUT that won't last.

There's not enough money in the World to pay someone long term to do anything they hate for very long. That's why 97% make NO MONEY with the products they purchase daily.

Doing what you want requires help and cooperation, working together. You won't make money immediately but if you're going to be broke anyway, you might as well be broke and happy until you get skilled enough to get paid what you're worth.

Otherwise, you're going to be broke with nothing but hope and there's no future in that.

Working for yourself means making money doing what you love. It doesn't mean you don't have a job, a boss and a time card. You do NOT need to own a business to work for yourself.

Working for money doesn't work long-term, ever. Would 97% be struggling to make any money if it did? And all those rags-to-rich stories, 97% of those are rubbish too.

Don't know what you want to do yet? Find someone who does and work for ccmmission getting them more work they love doing. There's plenty of money to go around when you keep yourself surrounded by experts you can help until you figure it out.

Go Offline, find a job or offer your services.

I haven't gone through the entire thread, but some of our fellow warriors have offered suggestions related to "make money on the net" type - even including starting membership site. Personally, I think making money takes time and hence not advisable for a desperate person.

Go find a job - any job - mow the lawns! That's where you can make money on a daily/weekly basis.

What i am about to share is what actually worked for me.

This goes against conventional wisdom but the first thing I would do in such a situation has little to do with actual work. I would immediately focus on building the proper wealth consciousness/mindset. Desperation is a symptom of a lack consciousness. Quite often in a dire situation , action is taken in response to lack and limitation instead of true wealth generation which is a symptom of a prosperity mindset.

So the first thing i did was to stop all negative conversations about money with everyone (i.e. stop saying things like "I cant afford it" , "I am struggling"), and to repeat positive words to myself like a mantra. It takes some discipline but within days my attitude began shifting and solutions started coming to me. If you just repeatedly say Prosperity over and over, you will focus on it enough to the point where you feel it be more real to you. It will literally allow you to look at the situation with greater ease and therefore creative ideas will spring . Hope this helps!

Re: What to do if you're desperate

I'm constantly buying new domains to build out some affiliate sites but I also sell a few. Since I'm cheap I'm reluctant to use "my" money. I prefer money that falls out of the sky with little or no effort on my part. I make a game out of it. (Buying and selling on Craigslist works here too.)
The other day I helped a neighbor start his cranky lawnmower. Took ten minutes. I noticed a pile of old well casing, stand pipe and irrigation pipe piled in the grass behind his biggest shed. Been there for years. (His subdivision used to be an orange grove.) I asked him about it and he said he wished he could get rid of it. I knew I could make that happen. Not too proud to work with my hands I went home hooked up my small 4 x 8 trailer, loaded my torch and was back there in minutes. Cut up the pipe into manageable pieces and headed out. On the way to the scrap yard I hit two business parks and found more. (ASK, don't take. Some will say no, others yes.) Upshot was almost 1,000 pounds of scrap = $117. Went home, bought 15 domain names = $115.05. 12 to keep for sites and potentially 3 to sell. I was back at the house by 10 in the morning so I really didn't have much time tied up in this. That evening, using a system I read about in the WAR ROOM (with free ebook) I composed an email, gathered a list and sent out 88 emails (while watching a Netflix movie on the other computer.) Bed about midnight. Two days later got a call on one domain name. Sold the domain for $175 plus $5.54 Paypal fee. (Yes, I charge the buyer for the fee and have never had a complaint. I told you I was cheap.) I use a free Paypal calculator by Ryan Olbe that I got here in the forum. I love that thing. Keep it on my desktop. So now I have 14 "free" domains and $175 cash. Doesn't always work that slick but it works often enough to make it worthwhile.

Love the fact that others are trying to help others. Everyone has a different
definition and level of desperation.
I have found one of the easiest way to create money is to FLIP. Some call it outsource but it's still flipping.
I have flipped many houses over the years and can still flip just about anything.
So if one is in need of cash, flip what ever you can find, websites, houses, cars, pets, what ever your good at or enjoy as it will make it an easier and a more pleasant experience, you will actually make money and enjoy it.
There is one aspect that has been mentioned a few times on this thread, that one must do in order to make money and that is go out and do it. If your fears are greater than your needs you can flip that too, meaning put an ad in backpage.com or craigslist or any free site to post someone to sell your services and split the cost. So you have no reason not to make money in the next 24 hours without much effort other than to actually make an effort. Good luck to all in need.

Best to you,

Tony

Re: What to do if you're desperate
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I actually posted this on my blog the other day and got some good feedback from it so I thought it might be relevant on this thread:

Another way in which you can make money fast is by outsourcing yourself. What are you good at? Can you write small articles? How about web or graphic design? Do you have time to post relevant content on forums? Pretty much anything that you can think of you can outsource yourself for.

For this example I am going to use content writing as people are always looking for good, English speaking writers. Ok, the first thing I want to tell you about this method is you are not going to get rich by doing this but, you will get paid for your work fast so it is a viable option for those who want to make money fast.

The first step is I want you to write three 500 word articles. One of them should be on weight loss, the other on how to make money online and the third one should be some sort of product review. The reason I picked these topics is because they are pretty big niches in the Internet Marketing world. You are going to use these 3 articles as samples for your prospected clients. You really need to make these samples stand out so spend some time doing research and take your time. Go to different article directories and read what other people have written and take notes. Once you do that, you should have an idea on what you want to write about.

Ok, now that you have your samples, you should be ready to go. Now, go to the Warrior Forum – Members Looking to Hire You section. Look through this section as people are always looking for good content writers. Once you find one, contact the member and include a copy of one of your sample articles. Now, while you are waiting for the member to get back to you I want you to signup at the following outsourcing sites:

oDesk
Freelance

Once you have an account at these sites, start looking at people needing writers. There are a lot. Bid on a few projects and hopefully you will get some.

While we are using content writing as an example, you can pretty much bid on any project that you are good at.

Ok, let’s talk pricing for your writing a bit. You will see a lot of people offering extremely low pricing. Don’t get discouraged about this. Usually people who are real low on the pricing end are not native speaking English writers. Trust me, I know this from first-hand experience. As you are just starting out, I would suggest charging $1.00 per 100 words. So a 500 word article you would charge $5.00. Yes I know that this is low but you have to get your name out there as well as get some reviews.

Once you have some clients that are happy and some money, I want you to re-invest some of it. Go over to the Warrior Forum – Warriors for Hire section. What you are going to do now is to write an ad and offer your services here. Make sure you put in some of the reviews that you have received as well as offering a copy of your samples. Make sure you have some time the day you post your ad as there will be a lot of questions. Answer them quickly as people like that. You are also now going to “bump up” your rate. Instead of $5 for a 500 word article, I would go $7.50 or more. One method that works on pricing is to offer the 500 word article for the first 5 customers for $5.00 first. This will get you more reviews. Once those are up, then, bump up the price. You also want to offer some sort of discount pricing. Say someone orders 10 articles. Instead of $75 for these, offer them a discount price of $65-$70. Whatever works best for you.

It will cost you $20 to post the ad but that’s ok. If you write well, you will make money fast doing this. The best part is people pay in advance, directly to your paypal account.

The biggest thing on using this method is a fast turn-around time. Don’t skimp on quality though. Get the work done quickly and accurately and your customers will be happy.

You can do all of this in a day or 2. As stated above, if you aren’t a writer, this exact same process will work for anything that is online related. Think Forum Posting for someone, Blog Commenting, Graphic Design, Web Design or anything else.

Total cost of this method = $0.00 (Then $20 after you make some money for the Warrior Forum Ad)
Time frame to expect money = Same Day as Gig is completed or even before.

Hope this helps and gives some folks some ideas on how to outsource themselves to make a few bucks.

Rich

Here are a few ideas:

1- Sell your services on Craigslist or Fivrr
2- Act as a "middleman" between a business and an outsourced company offering a service the business needs
3- Try to find a IM job that pays large commissions, as opposed to small ones

I think that when people are truly desparate they will do just about anything as long as it is ethically and morally right. Here is what I see a lot when people ask me about making money online or from home:

I get a lot of "Im not doing manualy labor". "Im a former CEO and Im not working for $15 an hour".

Guess what....you arent desperate then. Trust me, if you are will to bust your tail a bit, you can make money if you really want to put in a good days work. You just have to want it bad enough.

Ethically or morally right is still subjective. What may be ethical or moral for me may not be for the other. In desperate time people take desperate measures. Hope they don't take "those kind" of desperate measures though.

If you are so desperate to make money the best route would probably be craigslist. You can definitely find multiple side jobs in the gigs section to make some extra money. For the long term I suggest trying affiliate marketing. If you can slowly build up a good customer list who you can constantly market too. You will be successful!

I am going to suggest this because I don't think I've seen it on the thread yet.

It doesn't even have to be someone who is desperate - just someone who isn't afraid of hard work and they want to earn a good bit of money.

Cleaning houses and businesses.

My mother and my aunt did this for years. I even helped out when they were really busy (during the holidays and such). You wouldn't believe the hourly rate they earned.

They had set services that they offered, and they would offer a free written estimate. (The estimates took about five minutes to do - it was based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and a quick walk-through of the house.) They offered a one time cleaning (great for the holidays, Mother's Day, spring cleaning, etc.), weekly, monthly, or every two weeks.

They worked three days a week and made more than pretty much anybody else in the family did working 40 to 60 hours a week.

With the holidays coming up, lots of busy families are going to want their houses cleaned for company. It's a perfect time to make some extra holiday cash.

If you want to be even more creative, offer a gift certificate for a future cleaning that someone can give as a Christmas gift. Heck, offer gift certificates for six months worth of cleaning, if you want. Go for it.

Find someone who offers a valuable service here where the commission on a sale is hundreds of dollars, and go market it... Only "offline" to the business owners in your community.

You need:

A: No credibility, as it it provided.
B: No past work Samples, as they are provided.
C: No website, as it is provided.
D: No payment processor, as it is provided.
E: No money, just a desire to make some.

You enjoy:

Fast Start Up, as you need nothing but two legs to start, if that, and internet access... you can start within hours.

Potential 24 hour turn around, because you can make money as fast as you can locate a business owner that needs a service, that depends on you.

Fast Learning curve, as you can learn everything there is to "tell" about it generally on the sellers website.

Nearly 100% profit, as all it costs is an internet connection, if not a borrowed one at the public library.

Great career potential, as you would be learning how to sell cutting edge services.

Upsell potential
Referral potential
Residual Potential...

The list goes on.

If you are desperate you can strike a commission webdesign deal at this forum within 15 minutes. Literally.

Now go study your partners website, and then go out and tell people about his service.

Now, when I was desperate, I did it the hard way and made the sites myself, but this is what I did basically, went out and sold a website to a local business owner.

3 days later I had thousands.

With the warrior forum and all the great services you could represent here for 50% commission... You could do it the easy way, and have to do nothing but connect a designer with a business owner.

Cheers!

Ps. Here is an easier one.

Put a link in your sig that says you set appointments for offline marketers. Charge $25 per lead, to undercut the competition and insure a good response.

Sell a "first time buyer lead pack" for $250 INCLUDING 10 LEADS.

Wait for your email box to start exploding.

For that matter "Offer a service In Your Sig". It only takes one customer for a decent service to bring significant commission. We arent talking about needing a ton of customers here, thats why it works.

You could easily have a client within hours here or in any forum. Take every chance you can get. Call on biz owners and use your sig... Theres a good combo.

While you are working hard talking to biz owners, your sig is working hard with you on virtual auto pilot.

You could do the same in an insurance forum...

Now get out a phone book , start dialing, and setting up the appointments with business owners for your clients to go out and see. You can easily make $125 per day or more, and get paid in advance.

Next time , charge 3 times more.

If you want to make money fast and get out of the hole, you need a 2 step approach. Your fist step is to examine yourself closely and offer all of your services. You have to look at them all, for example, many people don't realize that knowing a second language could help you make some quick cash doing translations. Time is another service you could offer, yes time, find something takes time that is easy enough to do, but people would rather not do. For example article writing (mentioned hundreds of times already). But with a computer and even an free office suite like OpenOffice you can start typing. Offer your services on places like fiver and even here. Speaking of fiver, you could be glancing at the fiver sidewall to see if any requests are something you could do. This will start to build your reputation while making you some bits of cash.

The 2nd point is you need to always be learning and even investing in your self. Set a gold to make the bare minimum that you need, then motivate yourself to make even more than that. That extra earnings split in half, first for investment (buying book, wso, etc) and the other half for fun. You must reward yourself or you will lose motivation. However dedicate your working schedule of 18+hour days, sleep the other 6. Assign a maximum of 2 of those hours for reading a book, reading this forum, etc. Only have time off on Sunday(or whatever) and only if you met your goal and made enough extra cash to have some fun. Otherwise you're working 7 days per week. Yeah, it can get tough... but it needs to be done if you are going to survive in the online world of making money.

The nice benefit of this two step process, is that as you learn more, you will continue to make more, and a few years later, you wake up in your dream home, car, etc.

Good post Osman. More to the original poster's point, I think

According to most WSO's, money will come fast by purchasing someone's software. For those who have suggested alternatives, are you saying the claims are false, thus negating any purpose for this forum? Or are you saying that real money can only be made by those who already have money to spend? Again, largely negating the benefit of this forum and those products we are pitched everyday.

I have true offline income, but following the instructions of any of the launched items we see everyday costs money and more important, time. So taking the right steps is critical. What is the best and immediate approach?

Very worth checking out if you have at least a month to ramp it up.

I am currently in a bad situation. I am living in a hotel room because I can't find a place to live here. I only had enough to pay for a room through Friday. So if I don't make money by Friday I am living in my car I guess (in which the fuel pump just went out about an hour ago!)

I did what several of you said and I started a thread on the warriors for hire where I am offering some services (content services are the highlight, since I love writing) http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...t-special.html
I had $40 to my name and I just spent $20 of it on the thread. It is off to a little bit of a slow start but I know it will pick up. I am going to start spreading the word all over the place to hopefully drum up some work.
Anyway, I want to thank all of you for your inputs and help. I am not out of the woods yet, but I am working on changing my mindset to be positive and really taking action to get things done.
So thank you again! I really appreciate all of you who have added to this forum.
Oh yea, I also started a few gigs on fiverr. I know it is not going to get me money right away but it will give me something saved up for later on.

Quick way to make some money is to have some outstanding content written for you and post it on a good article directory. Have it link to a blogger.com blog on which you have a review for a high paying affiliate product also written by a professional. Link to your high paying affiliate program. Total cost may be $30-$50 but could really pay dividends if the content is good.

Re: What to do if you're desperate
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I first posted in this thread in August, my situation was extremely dire - I was in South America with no money and only had a roof over my head due to cleaning at a hostel in exchange for a free room. Reading this thread helped me massively and I started to make a note of what things I could do. I had to discard all the offline posts and people just saying: Go Out and Get a Job - as that wasn't possible due to where I was so i had to concentrate on online work. Otherwise I would have gone out and got a job - I did exactly that when I got to NZ!

I didn't even have enough money to post on the Warriors for Hire section so I started looking at various forums for people who were posting jobs and applied for loads. Some of the jobs paid peanuts but it was a case but I figured if I made enough to buy a domain and hosting I coul move on to the next stage.

I did move on to the next stage and have done a lot of freelance work and built up some great contacts in the process. Now I am ready to move on again and work on some of my own projects as freelancing for me takes up so much time and I'm ready to really enjoy my travels.

If you really are desperate money CAN be made and easily doing services for other people - even if they really do offer the lowest of pay it only needs to be a stepping stone.

I am an extremely positive person and a go getter so I kepy my spirits high even at my darkest hour so you have to believe you can do it - then work for it!

There are some fantastic suggestions in this thread so see if you can work on any of them and put your heart, mind and energy into it - if you're desperate you will.

Paul,

This thread is phenomenal.

I spent much time until perused. This is such a priceless collection, in which interested parties can find the answer to your question in many forms. Kudos to all who contributed their proven suggestions.

Many of the posts are real gem, some ideas I've used before, too. You can find methods that really help you in getting fast cash. Another ones can be your permanent money source, in other words, you can built up on your serious business.

One thing is needed to successfully operate with these examples: the COMMITMENT of those who are in the questioned situation. I hope, that more and more people will do something to improve their financial situation.

This thread is a great weapon for you in this battle. Use it.

Many successes,

Sandor

Re: What to do if you're desperate

Great forum thread, wish I'd come across this when I was in a bind a couple of years ago.

Let's face it, when you're down and out, you're desperate, not thinking straight, and the last thing you want to hear, is about coming onto the Internet to try and make some money.

My first suggestion - find something that will calm you and stop you from lashing out.
If it's calming music, listen to it, shut the whole world outside for at least 15 minutes to help you focus.

If you're in a relationship and you live together with your loved one - don't jump on the blame game, don't say nasty hateful things, and above all else, don't lose the love.

Cutting costs:
First to go is the cable bill; call your cable company and tell them like it is, cut your cable to the bare minimal - basic cable that is.

If you're bundled with your internet, cut that too to the most basic (about 6 Mbps) which is not the fastest, but will not hurt your pocket either.

Next:
Always go to your Pastor.
If you do not attend church but live in an apartment community, go to the apartment manager ASAP before they start knocking on your door, leaving fliers on your door and letting the neighbors into your business.

Car Note:
This can be negotiated up to about 3 months, so call the bank and let them know of your predicament.

Use the internet to find gigs you can do, right now, to make an income.

I know when you're down and out the last thing you feel like doing, is work.
It's pretty stressful, but places such as freecycle.org feature stuff people are willing to "throw out" in the name of spring cleaning to buy new stuff.

Find out who's closest to you and has stuff they're giving away.

When I lived in the US 5 years ago, I furnished my apartment (from couches, clothing, entertainment etc) through freecycle!
Americans are always throwing stuff away, and this stuff can be heaven for anybody enterprising.

Get that stuff and pawn it.

Selling it on ebay and the likes takes time (and effort, and emotion).

Pawning or selling it on Craigslist are the fastest means of making some pocket money.

Buy food in bulk and don't drive to the shop unnecessarily.

Swallow your pride, and be prepared for some trying times.

Keep a positive outlook, be brave, swallow your pride, put your resume out there.

Here's a quick way to make $3000 pretty damn quick and I've done it several times.

You need to know how to install wordpress and a theme. Learning curve... Maybe a day or so, less probably.

Go to a site like templatic.com or woothemes.com - don't buy anything just yet though if you're tight for cash.

Find a local businesses in your area with a bad web site and then find a better wordpress theme that would make this new site seem really appealing to them.

Take the company's logo off their site and grab a screen shot of the theme you want, plonk the comapny's logo on top of the dummy logo using something like photoshop or another program.

Then go and see the company.. show them the mock up of thier new site, tell them how it will be a money maker for them and the pitfalls of their current site. If you know about it, talk lead gen, building a list and so forth. Blow them away. Tell them that you will be approaching other similar companies and the first to take the site will get it, no competitors will get it etc.

You will need to come up with your own sales strategy that works best for your skillset. But try 5 companies, if the approach doesn't work, try a new sales tactic.

If you approach 5 businesses per day, that's a lot per month, if you can't convert 3 or four in a month doing that, something is wrong. Go for businesses where you can instantly see how this new site would improve.

Sell the site on a deposit, pay for the full yearly set of themes package so you have all niches and business types and then find the ones that convert the best. Roll it out on a bigger scale.

Enjoy making some money!
