Even the popular opinion is against PTC (Paid To Click)/GPT (Get Paid Click) sites, for someone in a tight spot I will recommend mobile ptc. Since this is a fairly new development, the payouts are a lot better than traditional ptc or gpt and there really are a ton of them. I think the best thing to do when you are in a tight spot is just simple manual labor. We all have been there at some point of time in our marketing lives. I believe that "he who quits never wins and he who wins, NEVER QUITS". Sometimes we make things harder than they usually are by not setting attainable goals. Instead, we look at other internet experts and guru's and aspire to be where they are so much, that we forget that we have to sometimes lose a bunch of little times to get that one big win or break through.

I had to do this to myself, 1st I took a long look at where I was and where I wanted to be. I had to "keep it real" with myself and see if I was really giving it 110% on mastering one thing at a time verses being just ok, or knowing enough to just get by. Then I rededicated myself to the very reason why I started internet marketing in the first place. Before I was pregnant & long before I wanted to start a family, I always told myself I wanted to be home with by baby & not have to miss out on the little precious moments away at work. Plus, I wanted to be able to afford the things that regular folks can't afford or have to work long hours in order to get it.

Now don't get me wrong, there is NO SHORT CUTS TO SUCCESS, and that's why most marketers fail left and right because they think they can just be blessed with a turn key system and boom... their on their way.

Your gonna have to dedicate some serious time into researching whats new, because times are always changing, have a great student mentally and implement what you've learn. If you should not get the results your looking for on the 1st run, stop and look at what you did good 1st. Then implement the good strategies again on the second run & input a new strategy to replace the mistakes you made the last time.

Last but not least attitude equals your altitude. Don't throw a big pity party for yourself, think positive hold the idea of winning in your mind and just... keep at it.

Here's my contribution:

1) Sell stuff you don't need. Yes, you have TONS of stuff you don't need. Set up a garage sale or contact some friends about the products you're selling.
2) Cut down your expenses. List down what your daily expenses and determine a realistic amount for daily expenses. And then, stick to it.
3) Get a job, and another one. IM and online services are great but they may not pay as quickly as some odd jobs. Go for small, local, family owned businesses that need help. You'll need to work hard, and be physically exhausted, but it will get you by.

In all of this, I guess a positive state of mind helps. : )

Whenever I'm low on cash or I need it in my hands within a couple hours...I go to local yard sales and pick up things like ps2's with games, cameras, Plasma tvs...anything electronic and I take it to the flea market in my area and I flip it...one time I bought a PS2 with 10 games for 10 bucks at a yard sale and flipped it and made $50 that same day...so it's totally possible...

Someone mentioned data-entry. Yes, you can make money doing data-entry, but unless yo live in a 3rd-world country, the income is unlikely to be good enough. I've done a lot of outsourcing of data-entry, and pay about 20 cents an hour for reasonably good work. So if you work 10 hours, you make 2 dollars. That is a living wage in some parts of the world, but probably not in the US

Also mentioned was writing. That pays a lot better, around $10 an hour for good English and good writing, so can definitely be a realistic income. However, work can be hard to find because there are a LOT of people who can do it, so you are likely to have to start by offering great work for less money, then once you've got lots of positive feedback, raise your prices to the standard. Still, that can be realistic, if you work at it.

One tip on getting writing work . . . put up a writing Gig on Fiverr, and you might get an occasional bit of work, even if yours is better value than most, BUT, continually scan the "wanted"s on fiverr and make a very rapid and personal reply to anyone looking for writing, and you can be sure to find work within a couple of hours.

My advice if you are in a really tight crunch would be to first go on craigslist and search for gigs. Look in computers and labor gigs to get yourself some now money. If that doesn't work you will need to post some of you belongings for sale to get some cash.

I would then sign up for clickbank and start promoting affiliate offers with a youtube channel. Cloak your affiliate link with bitly.

Do some market research on what you are passionate about and use google keyword planner to find keywords you target audience is searching for.

Then make a separate youtube video for each search term and teach your viewer how to solve that specific problem with the affiliate product you are marketing.

You can also do product reviews with youtube videos and be sure to put a call to action to click the link in the video description which will be the cloaked affiliate link.

Another thing you can do reviews on are amazon products. Sign up for the amazon affiliate program and search for any products you currently own and do a review on it and tell viewers they can find the product on amazon by clicking the link in the video description.

Hope this helps anyone in need to get started online.

If you are dead broke starting off don't count on making a lot of money fast online. You need to treat it as a business and build it up so try to find a job to make you money that you can live off of while you build up your online business.

Tried to give details here, but laptop hiccupped and lost it all.

In rural area, with peanuts as startup, I gave it a go - and succeeded.

Long story short:
5 days preparation, 5 days marketing = £4299.66 Gross Sales
After overheads & Tax = approx. £2000.00 Profit. Total Time Required: 16 days.


Business now, 3 years on, giving me good income and paid off substantial debts.

I also sell it on as a 'Franchise' idea, at very low cost .

Buy your local newspaper, wait for 1 week, then call on the items for sale that you think you could resell on ebay or in a garage sale etc and make silly offers.

If the item is still for sale after 1 week, the seller has often resigned themselves to not selling, and is more likely to accept a low offer.

Don't have $20? Offer the service on Fiverr or some of the other free platforms. Once you earn $20, invest it into a WF thread.

I am reading this thread and realize I was in this situation couple of months ago. This is how I did it.

Stage 1: I discontinue all my phone service and started using Google Voice, set up Google voice for me and my wife. Save me and my wife $80 month.

Stage 2: I was checking Craigslist for free giveaway stuffs and reselling it on eBay, the pain was that I got stuck with paypal waiting for 21 days to access money for three months. You can find it of For Sale --> Free section.

Stage 3: Stage 2 actually open my eyes, I went to junk yard to parking and droping any metals and materials on the trash days and the free items on Craigslist. This change my life to achieve my dreams of becoming Entrepreneur. I was getting paid cash daily and it is "Legally Tax Free" but check with your state since there are 50 States with different state law. You earning must be reported to IRS

Stage 4: I was able to use my previous skills to build myself an affiliate website domainvale.com with wordpress, if anyone is interested. I will be happy to build it for free for someone in my previous condition must be able to prove that you are going through hardship time.

Stage 5: It was a bitter experience, but I thank God for upholding me. If I can do it, I strongly believe you are better off.

I will encourage anyone in that situation to be bold enough to take the giant step, and pray without season because with "GOD" all things are possible.

I was actually in a "desperate" situation not too long ago! Literally lost everything--my home and my cars. Had to move back in with the inlaws with my twin girls and hubby--it was only a 2 bedroom home so me and my husband had to sleep outside in an old rusted out RV just for some privacy. It was out in the middle of the STICKS--hundreds of miles away from the nearest city. I barely even got phone reception there.

I stumbled across the Bob Ross 9x12 system--and got a $450 payment into my paypal just 2 days later...shortly after I had made a nice couple thousand dollar profit.

Depends on your skill set but you could use a site like Tuteable.com - they basically connect people who have problems or want to learn a new skill to experts who can provide help. The experts are all paid for their time so they are able to charge the learner a set price for an hour of their time.

That's 1 option.

Then there are sites like skillshare and Udmey which allow you to create courses and sell them online - this is also a good way to leverage your skills.

I would say the toughest thing about being in a desperate situation, is that it's hard to think clearly. It's at that time where you would be most vulnerable to the next shiny object or the next "make a few hundred by tomorrow" offer.

The whole paradox is that if you can just stay focused long enough to master a method or two on how to really make money online (since there are so many ways), then that would get you out of trouble.

But depending on your level of experience and situation, if there isn't time to learn marketing, then freelancing is the quickest way to go.

If I was super broke and needed cash ASAP,my first stop would be Facebook.You can punch in online flea market or online garage sale followed by your area.The FB market is mostly women,but if you have clothing,toys,baby stuff,car seat,stroller,etc,you can turn and burn really fast on there. Craigslist would be my next stop where I would list 20,30 or 40 smalls like CDs,DVDs,Books,etc. Next is old faithful for me here in Baltimore,the flea market.I get free stuff from craigslist,everything from clothing and shoes to big back tvs and more. I'll give one more idea, make a Keynote or Powerpint presentation and sell your or affiliate product at the end just upload it as VSL or webinar and get some solos and see if you can get it convert if you feel it's good start optimizing by split testing.

Your subconscious is like a search engine. You tell your subconscious; "I need a great plan to make X amount of dollars in X amount of time"; and you completely trust your subconscious?

It will give you the answer.

It sounds crazy, but it's worked wonders for me; you have no idea.

PS: it does take a lot of mental training, reading, and meditation to get to that level.

Fastest and easiest way to make money online is to sell on eBay. Anyone can do it and you could easily generate $300 a month doing that. It is stupid easy lol

I would sell on Amazon before going with eBay. I'm an ex-powerseller and things have changed so much on eBay that I use it as a last resort or to get rid of things that I can't sell elsewhere. If you're a new eBay seller your money will be held until the buyer has confirmed delivery.

Amazon will place a hold too, but it's more predictable than eBay. You can start with books. If you have a smart phone you can find apps that allow you to scan the bar codes and see what the book is selling for on Amazon before you even buy it. I found an old hand-bound book that was selling on Amazon for $800 - $2000. The book cost me $1.50 at a second hand store. I decided to hold onto it though for a collectible, but I routinely find books for a couple bucks that sell for $20-$50
