Blogger outreach services?? They want to pay me?

Hi everyone,

I have a blog of 4 months or som which is doing Okay SEO wise. But i have been contacted by a blogger 'outreach outreach' set-up who want to pay me to accept a a linked article which they will write. They ask how much I will charge for such a service.

I have two questions. Is this too good to be true? What are the snags? MIght it be a scam? After all, they will need my Paypal to pay me.

But then again, if it isn't a scam, how much should I ask as payment for this? What might be the going rate?

Any advice very welcome. I'm a bit of a novice in this area.

    You're not providing your login details to PayPal - just what account to send the money to. Not sure how it would be a scam. You don't post their article until they pay you, so how can you get scammed?

    Find out how much they are willing to pay before making up a price. Something like "We do not ordinarily accept articles from outside sources on our blog. How much would you be willing to pay?"

    Also, make sure you have editorial decision making. You don't want to publish an incoherent article on your site that is filled with links to a "bad neighborhood".
