Content and Backlinks

Hi all,

The last weeks I have been spending loads of time figuring out how to get my website to rank in Google. I have watched almost every video published by Ahrefs and spend loads of time researching info on the web.

Maybe it's wise to mention I want to rank an e-commerce store.

The thing is I'm trying to come up with a plan to build links. Now I have found some nearly uncovered topics I could write a blog about, answer questions from searchers.

The search volume is low, but there is no competition either. Seems to me like a good start. This would help gaining a little bit of traffic, but it doesn't help me building backlinks since the blogs that currently cover these subjects hardly have any backlinks pointing to them.

I'm wondering if this is worth the try, how do you guys build your backlinks? I have watched so many videos about this subject, but can't get my head around it.

Currently my DR or DA is near zero, so I'm not really ranking for anything right now.

Hope someone has some tips!

Thanks!

You can try it and there is no problem with that. I personally using Guest posting on high authority websites to build quality backlinks. You can also use web2.0 sites. If you have some budget then start with Facebook ads. Hope this help you

      Thanks for your response.

Regarding guest blogging. If they charge an admin fee, do you proceed or skip? I have found many to charge a fee for accepting a guest blog.

I need to look in web2.0 sites. Not sure what it is.

**edit ** checked the web2.0 sites now. Does it help you rank? One would think Google is to smart nowadays for these tactics.

  • Networking with other bloggers with bigger traffic is a must to get you bigger traffic. Now, start with those have a little bit more than you and grow from there. Once you grow, you don't need to pay any fee, they will want to hear from you.

I appreciate your efforts what did you spend in research. In the modern Digital Marketing algorithm, there are many guidelines that you must follow to get some quality backlinks. First, select some medium search volume keywords that will help you to get rank on Google. Check if your website error-free or not? Then put at least 1000 words of content on all your main pages. Like - home, services page. And add a minimum of 350 words of content for all products. Use a proper meta title, meta description, focus keyword on each page. Keep in mind all your content should be checked by some tools, like grammar, keywords density, LSI keywords, paragraph divination, heading, and subheading section should be checked carefully.

Then go for backlinks - you can first target social media platform that will help you to get backlinks for your website. Then you can start guest posting, Web2.0, classified ad posts. Remember that you are doing update your website's blog every after 15 days range (it will help you to increase more traffic for your website).

After doing all this work you will increase your PR, DA, DR. DA you know its age of the domain so it will be increased when your domain gets old (do not focus on it as an initial stage). Focus on backlinks and keywords ranking first. If you still have any doubt please let me know.

I just paid a very reasonable fee to have my site go from DA7 to DA53 within 2 weeks on Fiverr.

Is it making you more money at 53 than it did at 7?

Because DA is not relevant to anybody except people who sell backlinks. Are you selling backlinks from that site?

If you value your site I'd disavow all of those links immediately. The fact that you can go from DA7 to DA53 with a Fiverr gig says everything you need to know about how worthless domain authority is as a SEO metric.

In essence, backlinks to your website are a signal to search engines that others vouch for your content. If many sites link to the same webpage or website, search engines can infer that content is worth linking to, and therefore also worth surfacing on a SERP.

In my opinion, content is KING, if you can produce really good and interesting content it will help you.

    1. Produce content.
    2. Spread your website to friends, who are active on FB, Twitter, or LinkedIn.
    3. If your content is interesting they will share it and it will get picked up by others.
    4. There you will get your first backlinks because they might also share it outside social media.
    5. Google will start to notice you and if you keep continuing creating great content, your star is born.

Of course, it all depends on your content.
If you have bad or no content, you need to fly another route.
