Email is Dead!

Tons of people have said for years that email was dead or dying as social media integrates itself more and more into our personal and business lives.

Email is a waste of time. No one reads email anymore. Focus on FB groups or Instagram or building up a page or YouTube or Twitter. Email is so 20 years ago- get some modern marketing techniques will ya?

Then, Twitter recently bought a newsletter publisher. And now FB is developing a new feature for what? Email newsletter publishing. Here is the link for more info.

What was old is now new again.

    I'm actually cautiously optimistic about what Twitter / Revue might be able to do with newsletter subscriptions - specifically around user acquisition (seems willingness to pay for writing would be higher on Twitter than other places). Granted, it's Twitter, so certainly no guarantees it'll have any vision, or good execution of this idea, but it at least doesn't *sound* terrible to me...

    Email is not dead. It only depends on the relationship you build with your subscribers.

    You can get kicked out of Facebook or Twitter anytime and lose all your social media followers.

    But you can never lose your email subscribers.

    We've got many top Marketers who have low social media followers but build their online empire just with their email list.

    So, if it's not working for you. Try and learn more on email marketing.

    Don't confuse people.

      forgive me .my brain has been working funny the last few weeks ..so i have no idea what you actually celebrating. You probably have to build a social media following on a platform and get them to opt in tp your newsletter that the platform with send to the account holders email box..so it could never actually be your list ..and another thing you can lose if you violate unwritten community guidelines

      Mark, thank you. For proving: The POST TITLE is the only thing many, many, many Warriors ever read, and especially if they have a signature file, they quickly share their opposite opinion.

      Maybe this thread could get dead? Thanks for the heads up about the Facebook and Twitter NEWSLETTERS, we're doing a lot of research into it.

    Email is not dead, but yes the response depends on the relationship that you have made with your clients. if you are sending them an unnecessary and irrelevant notification, then yes for you, email is dead.

    perform or generate leads go through email, which is called email marketing which is the part of digital marketing. Still, so many companies are there who generate customers for their products with email. If you also want to get advantages of email, then you should learn more about how to do email marketing properly.

    Let me tell you something. I don't think email ever went away. How else do you expect your List to check out your content? Let's say you are a blogger. When you want your list to go and check out your new articles, you'll need to inform them... via email. They're not clairvoyant.
