    How tragic.

Very classy to let us know and to say goodbye.

It must be hard to say goodbye to all your loved ones but at least you are getting the chance.

May you have joy, contentment and peace in your last days.

You have always been a great contributor and voice of reason here on the forum. You will be deeply missed.

      I have been worrying and
      wondering about this as
well. It is all so very sad.

If we don't hear from Jeffery
in the next few days we will
      need to start checking the
      Clarksville obituaries. I have
family there, I could do this.
      If anyone knows Jeffery's
      full name could you please
      send it to me.

Or check the obits and post
      it here. Please.

      Maybe KK could do it.

      Thank you.

I've been checking the clarksville obits - we don't know jeffery's last name - I've known him online for years and don't know it.

If I see anything I will post the links here but I don't want this thread to degenerate into conjecture about it. It's a class act to come here to say 'goodbye'...usually people just disappear on us.

Jeffrey posting about his impending death made me think quite a lot about...what would I do if I knew I only had a day or two?

Who would I tell? So Cheryl and I discussed how she should get in touch with anyone that would be affected by my passing...suppliers, relatives, memberships I subscribe to...that sort of thing.

There are lots of internet marketing fees that are auto billed every month, and those would have to all be cancelled. Life insurance and Social Security...the essentials.

I wrote down all my passwords, and who to contact to dismantle this life.
And who would get my library of business books and ...believe it or not, comic books.

But mainly, I think I would get my affairs in order. We didn't talk about what we would do if she were about to die. Too much in one sitting. Another time.

I hope that Jeffrey didn't go through much pain...and the emotional pain this would cause his family. He seemed like a good guy. A smart man.

On a whim, a few years ago, I Googled my entire graduating High School class. Of the ones I found, about a third were already gone.

I did the math. In the next ten years, there is a better than 50% chance that Cheryl or I will be gone. So I treasure every day with her.

I wish I did more of that with my Mom and Dad.

JA's announcement hit me hard. When I
first saw that post title I thought it would be
someone announcing they were leaving the
forum because they were angry or upset.

After I read his final good-bye, it made me
cry and I am as stoic as they come.

Jeffery was only two years older than me
and that fact evoked thoughts of my own
mortality also. Life is fleeting and I doubt
that I would have accepted that news as
graciously as he seemed to have done.

Two days is not nearly enough time to get
one's affairs in order, all of that would have
needed to be done well in advance.

I'm sure he was very well organized with
        his life and his business.

        Rest in Peace to Jeffery.

        I will miss him.

        And I appreciate you all.

I think this has been coming on for a while - Jeffery's comments here changed at the end of the year and a couple of us had mentioned he seemed angry when we never saw that before from him.

He had not posted for a couple months - unusual for him. Taking the time to say goodbye to this forum was the classy Jeffery I knew over the years.

OMG Jeffrey, only just read this. By your account you will be gone by now and above it was confirmed. So, for what it's worth, am putting it out there.. it was a pleasure to have known you. You were, and still are (if my beliefs in continuation after death are borne out) a perfect gentleman and I'm sure you will not be dwelling in the basement (not that I entertain that Idea)

So let this message fly to wherever you are my friend. Your ok, so I will think of and send my thoughts to your grieving family. We'll meet again.

A bit surreal after not checking in at the forum for a while. Do not know whether to post in past tense or present.

I would call people on this forum Friends before I would ever call anyone on Facebook a friend that are branded "friends".

My final post may have alot of expletives in it. I am just FN kidding.

    Enjoy Heaven my friend.

I never met Jeffery personally, just reading his posts here on Warrior. That said, there was something "dignified" ... [Def. "Having or showing a composed manner that is worthy of respect."] ... About his posts ― including his "Goodbye" ― that I admired.

I thought of that. Dan Kennedy posted that he was going to die in a couple of days, a couple years ago. Rumors spread that he had died. People were sad...I was sad.

But he didn't die. Eventually, he got better.

And because I was a fan of his, I actually felt put out because of this. His statement that he was going to die caused people pain. They mourned.

And now, when he really does die, I don't know how I'll feel about it.

What I did take out of that experience was to not tell anyone that I was sick (I'm not), until after the fact. Then my wife can post it.

I didn't really process it about Jeffrey, until I saw the notice from the funeral home.

Although I never met him, or even talk to him directly, he added to the experience of being here.
