How much longer until I make my MILLIONS??

Ok, I'm kidding.. but my headline writing skills are getting better.

Anyway, I just launched my new website and first attempt at IM about a week and a half ago. I submitted 6 articles to EZA and I've been submitting articles here and there to other sites. Traffic has been blah.. about 6-7 visitors a day. How long until you really start to see traffic come in? Is it just a submit and wait type game or are my early efforts not paying off?

I'm truly just wondering. I don't mind doing work.. just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Thanks!

If all you are doing is posting articles then you are short changing yourself. You must market your site and that means get it out there anyway possible (as long as it's legal).

    Press Releases
    News Releases
    Social Marketing
    Bookmarking
    Submit Your Rss Feeds
    and etc ...

You must build backlinks to your site and to your articles and keep doing it. This is not a submit and wait game, this is a submit and submit more game.

This is all assuming your SEO is proper and you have researched your jeywords properly...

      AMEN

Especially if you are going to attempt the IM niche. To a certain extent, to successfully market any niche, you have to know enough about IM that can help people just starting out, but you should not let holes in your knowledge effect those that look up to you for guidance.

Well looks like you have cracked the first step. Putting yourself in front of your target market. (your WF sig). If you can keep taregting with that kind of precision and with a good backend sales process, no matter what niche it is you'll get a million sooner than you think

it will depend on your niche and how aggressive you network yourself. Building a business online is all about the relationship you build with visitors. How and where you network yourself will determine how fast you get traffic.
Instead of sitting and waiting to get rankings in search, join niche forums and social sites to drive traffic more quickly. network yourself and try to help people. If you focus on how well you help people, you will eventually succeed.

It takes time. I have seen some niche markets that I had sales within days and some that took months before seeing any sales at all. Focus on the progress you make, and the things you can control.

How many people have you met in your niche? how many links do you have to your site? these are things you can control.

As you build your reputation, you can start to influence other people, but you cannot control whether they buy from you or not.

too many new marketers give up because all they look at is sales. If you focus on the progress you make, and take time to really be helpful to people, eventually the sales will come.

That being said, make sure you are helpful to people, but still do not solve all their problems, at least for free. Give them helpful advice, but leave questions unanswered that your product you are promoting will solve. Make sure you bring those questions to the front of their mind so that they are left with the need to get the answer that your product is offering.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the help! I'm excited -- I just got my first sale. I'm $30 richer today. Not a big deal to most... but seeing hours and hours of work pay off, even if only a little, is very nice.
