Effectivly socialbookmarking.

so we all know the importance and effect of bookmarking but is it just a case of 'diggin' your url or is there a better way. I mainly bookmark posts, articles etc but just drop the url and post title and description. Should we and can we anchortext with keyword the description or assuming we have anchor on the page we bookmark is that enough. Like i say we know we need bookmarking but do we do it right,and get the most out of it? Pardon my lack of punctuation, i'm sending this from my phone not my pc!

    You never really know if what you're doing is enough or not. You just Do It and hope for the best.

    Bookmarking is essentially spitting your url anywhere you can which helps indexing your stuff immediately, but I personally question the value of the links I build this way. I don't think they have a real long-lasting value. Trends change and effectively everything "social" becomes spam.

    The other pain is that you really have to be consistent with bookmarking at least initially, say 3 links a day for a month. If your consistency drops so does your traffic.

    Much more influential are links from authority sites, and those tend to exist for ever plus have tremendous impact on your position in search results.

    As for the anchor text - stuff it wherever you can, those are way more precious than url alone. IMHO
