Help me find a Private coaching price point.

Hello, I have a basic internet marketing course that I've been selling online since July. I have a pretty good group of members who are very interactive, and a lot of them are now asking if I do private coaching. I always put this off as I've been busy with other things.

Well now I'm considering offering it. I sent a broadcast to my list to see how many people were interested and I got a pretty good response rate..

My main question is, the product they purchased was $27 , then some of them purchased a $17 upsell or 2 that I offer.

How much should I charge for 1hr per week for 4 weeks (4hours total) of private coaching calls?

I know I can offer them a quality service, so my main thing is a finding a successful price point.

I'm thinking $197 range.. is this about on track for 4hours of coaching?

Thanks,
Dennis

How much is your time and expertise worth? I've seen people offering group coaching for as low as $7 and others offering private mentoring for a few thousand dollars. It's totally up to you.

A week ago a student of mine presented me with a quote from a private mentor who was asking for $11,000 for two solid weeks of coaching (80 hours). That works out to about $140 per hour, so you could potentially price out 4 hours at up to $500.

Interestiong POV's thanks guys. I may go around the $300 range. I have never personally coached someone so I don't want to charge a huge price.. however the "free" coaching I have done has always preven beneficial for the individual so I think 297 or 347 (odd # isnt it? lol) for 4 horus of coaching may be good.

Have you considered picking two or three of your current students, teach them for free, and in exchange get their feedback on how to improve your system?

Since you mentioned you have not personally coached before, it might be beneficial to work out any potential problems BEFORE you get a post of "hey, this guy charged me $297 and did not know how to do ______!" May sound silly, but it could save you some trouble in the future.

If it was me, I'd offer to coach the folks that asked for an introductory price in the $100 - $200 range and limit it to a handful and then get feedback as suggested above.

Part of your feedback should be, how much do you believe this coaching has increased your internet marketing income. Or you may want to qualify it as, how much more do you anticipate earning in the next year based on what you've learned from this coaching. The answers should help you pick a price point. If people believe they will earn $500 more a month over the next year, then asking even $500 for your coaching would be a fair trade off.

    Just my 2 cents.
