How is this done?

Hi guys.

I have come across a web page in some website, one of those pages where the webmaster gives you instructions to link exchange. I guess you know those kind of pages, where they put the HTML code of their link in a text box so you can copy it and put it in your website. Well, this page in particular got my attention because when I refreshed the page the text changed to other, and again and again. I think that is pretty cool.

Maybe this is a newbie question but, how do they do that?

That would be such a great help for me.

  They undoubtedly have a piece of javascript rotating through a database of links to display every time the page loads, but if you want a specific answer, you'll need to provide a link as Sumit Menon suggested.

Please provide the link to be sure what are we talking about.
It is probably some kind of script installed on the site. But, without checking it`s source it is not thankful to discuss in advance. So, please provide the link or be more specific and describe exactly what you need. Thanks

Hi, Looks like there is a variable that populate the box changed every time the page loads, looks like some server side scripting probably PHP

Most likely php with a mysql database and MAYBE some small bits of JS.
