Just wondering, is the ringless voice mail industry really that impressive?

personally, people can just go to any website on their phones, why would marketers and big companies suggest that ringless voice "drops" are the next game changer?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

thanks

Those claiming how 'impressive' it is are usually selling the feature itself....

There is disagreement as to legality and a claim that technically 'this is not a call so doesn't apply to 'do not call' list. I expect that will be challenged at some point. Could the'push' on advertising the RVM be due to increased chance of robocall regulation?

There is an active thread about unsolicited text messages on this forum now, too. Both methods are using a consumers phone/paid phone plan....to send that consumer unsolicited ads. Judging from my own phone, the trend is increasing....and most of the ads I've received border on spam/scam type promos.

What I have NOT seen is any reputable marketer writing about the good (measurable) results he's had - the number of sales - the ROI of this method of advertising. That would be interesting.
