Hello Warriors,

I'm looking for out of the box strategies to reach job seekers. I know unemployment is at an all time high so the there are literally millions of people looking for jobs.

I provide a job search package with resume & cover letter templates, along with interview and job search guidance. I was doing well on Pinterest with sales but that has taken a tumble for some reason. I don't even want to think about adwords or FB ads. I've tried Insta ads a few times but without success. I looked into Nextmark but the starting prices are painful. I would love to do banner ads but not finding legit targeted sites that offer this.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how good your research is - unemployment is NOT at an all time high....in many US areas now that pandemic restrictions are being removed...there are more jobs than people looking for work.

The availability of jobs may be one reason your pinterest sales are down...just a guess.

You might consider a different 'slant' - one that promotes your package as a way to get a 'better job' right now because employers are desperate to hire good workers.

Like kay said unemployment is not at an all time high. Most people on unemployment will be going back to their jobs as soon as the extra cash runs out

Instead of trying to learn something new and give up with it just because your results are not as good anymore you should KEEP doing it.

    Get better, improve it.

It's so important to stick and truly master things instead of throw in the towel and learn something new because you start from zero again.

Pinterest is not dead, it still works and it will work for you if you remain focused.

    Good Luck!

Pinterest reminds me of WAHMs. No offense to WAHMs
since I consider myself as one, but without the children.
Have you tried LinkedIn or Reddit, and what about
placing ads in magazines, have you done that?

@monetize Thanks very much for your feedback. I have considered magazine ads and will look into that. I was on Reddit years back but not much progress - it's an interesting and aggressive platform.

That is hilarious - and a perfect description. Every time I go to pinterest I end up wondering 'what AM I doing here'....

You probably get on Pinterest because their site comes up at
the top of Google search results so often, but I swear that I
cannot take more than half a minute of it. It's like being in a
carnival funhouse with the wacky mirrors or something.
Every time you click on something it takes you to something
      else.

I don't know whose warped brain thought that one up but I'm
fairly certain it was a man. (Sorry men, nothing personal)

    Hi Alana
    Some ideas below:

    1. LinkedIn ads
    2. Direct messaging people on LinkedIn who have open to work on their profiles
    3. Partner with recruitment agencies. You can also dm them via LinkedIn

Many countries have a third party in between the unemployed and government support. For example they call them Job search providers. Their job is to assist people who are on unemployment. If your looking for out of the box suggestions you can always approach the 3rd party as they know exactly who is looking for work.

If there was ever a time that people want to work it's now. After being home all this time and not making any money, people want to work.

Of course there are still people who will be looking on job sites and these are the people you can capture.
