        Hi Rick,

        My local business are:
        1. Catering - food business
        2. Education - graphic & animation courses for children

        My online business is only:
        1. Freelance - graphic design and video edit & animation

I use SMS as the cheapest way to collect lead. I usually buy prospect-data from local communities. I send a simple link to all number and direct them to any social media page I use to inform about my business and put my business WhatsApp number there...
I don't use WA directly because it's easy to get banned. So I choose SMS. Luckily SMS is not expensive any more here. Many operators provide cheap package for blasting service.

        Thanks.

  • Forums are a bit tricky because most forums really frown on putting links to "outside" websites on the forums. I've never had a whole lot of luck with forums, although there are very populous forums out there.

It must be me. I look at the responses in this thread and I see a roll call of marketing channels - not resources.

There was a time when many would have placed the Warrior Forum at the top of any list of marketing resources.

Strange, when I read "Name Your Top 5 Marketing Resources", the first thing that came to mind were the different mentors/gurus that I learned marketing from.

      My top 5 resources?

      Dan Kennedy (Everything marketing)
Perry Marshall (Google and Facebook marketing strategies)
      Russell Brunson (Funnels)
Michael Alvear (Making a killing on Kindle)
      Dan Kennedy/Victor Schwab/ Robert Bly/Joe Sugarman/Robert Collier/John Caples (Copywriting)

And a whole slew of sales trainers.

The only reason I don't see the Warrior Forum as a marketing resource, is that I'm part of the group. But yeah, there is some real value here.

Agreed. Mentors, training, tools, software - that's what I'd call resources.

It was more a wistful remark about the WF in its prime. But yes, there's still value to be found here for those prepared to look and participate.

For me it's Facebook (groups), Pinterest (for ecom) Craigslist (yes it still works) Forums such as WF (and especially blackhat forums) Twitter (for the influencers) and finally the Crypto-currency forums.

...And yes I agree, there is lots of value here!

I had started a list and then had to leave and never finished it. WF was #1. I think there are some real gems here (knowledgeable, helpful people and content) even now. But the decline in quantity of the quality content is obvious compared to before.

Besides the forum, I would list:

DigitalMarketer.com: I don't agree with some of the changes they've made recently in their product offerings but the content they put out, free and paid, is very good.

Russell Brunson: I don't currently use CF but there is a ton to learn from him even without being a subscriber to his software.

AWAI and their associates are all master marketers and there is a lot to learn from how they do things.

Rachel Miller provides tons of value about building organic FB groups and pages. There are some others I follow in this space but she's probably #1.

I've followed Jimmy D. Brown and Sean Mize for years and get a lot of value from both of them.

And there are a lot more. But that is six. It's funny that most of the big shot "gurus" on Warrior + and JVZ are nowhere close to my list of valuable resources.

          Mark
