New Niche Site

Hi all,

I have a new niche site up and running. As people here at WF are some of the best in the market I was wanting some feed back on my new site.

What you think of it and ways to improve it. Good and bad criticism are welcome. Gardening With Herbs Tips

    It looks very good. Should be extremely effective in gathering opt-ins. Site looks very good, did you design it yourself?

    It looks like a good niche mini site. As I looked over it one of the only things that I may change or add to would be the "about us" page. I would probably beef it up a little bit and give your reader or visitor something else to think about. While I understand that the main point is to build a list, I think that anyone who spends some time going over the site may want to know a little bit more about you. Maybe make a short video and upload it to youtube. Then embed it on to your site. Video is always good and lends credibility. Other than that, it looks good. Good wordpress sales theme.

    I agree. It looks very good.

    My only suggestion would be to reword the email privacy note to get rid of the word 'spam' (don't even put the suggestion in people's minds) and make it a more positive statement.

    Hi,

    In understand you're gardening and want something green, but I would actually go for either a relaxing gardening image or a light blue background. I find the current green background very dull in comparison to the great banner you've got there. A bit of a turnoff.

    I had a look at the site. Is this meant to be a squeeze page and not a normal site.

    If so i don't think the optin conversion rate will be very high!

    I am sure you have heard of Ryan Deiss the master of squeeze pages, he test them until they break. In his program he shared his highest converting squeeze page (>80%)

    I have taken that example for my own squeeze page, tested it and indeed out converted all my other effords.

    The other thing he made very clear is that giving away a mini course (7 secrets to etc) was the worst converting type of squeeze page for him... so dump that part!!!

    All you need is your headline and sub headline maybe and your optin box with just asking for email. That also increases optin rates! No bullet points, as Ryan Deiss tested those and also reduced the optin rates.

    The more simple the squeeze page the better the conversions!!
